"When are they going to get here? They're already a half hour late!" Alicia couldn't help but worry for her dear friends as she paced back and forth between the family room, the hallway, and the kitchen with a hastened, fretful speed to her step, wile her twin brother watched her frantic pacing from the nearby couch; his chin rested lightly upon the armrest. Curly ginger hair tickled the ends or his ears as he raised his head to stare at his sister dead-on with a steady sapphire gaze.

"Alie, calm down. Era and Morrow are late, that's all."

Alicia's pacing came to a sudden halt with her back to her brother. She spun around to face her brother with a matching azure stare as her long, ginger curls spun in sync with the dusty rose dress adorning her as she turned.

"I know they're late, Oliver, but what if something happened to them while they were on their way here?"

Oliver's gaze shifted to a doubtful look, which Alicia read with ease.

"Yeah, I know, but I could happen this time! I mean, for all we know, they could be stuck in some terrible situation somewhere, and direly need our help, and we're just sitting here doing nothing!"

"Alie, I'm sure its nothing like that at all. The two of them probably just got sidetracked showing one another new spells or something like that. They're fine. Why do you think something bad might have happened?"

Alicia turned her eyes towards the floor, her gaze softening.

"...Because it's happened before."

Oliver flinched slightly at his sister's words, knowing quite well what she meant. He opened his mouth to reply, only to be silenced by a knock at the door. Oliver rose to his feet.

"I'll get it."
He walked out of the room and into the hallway that led towards the door, allowing the tension that trailed behind him to fade like snow under a summer's sun. He opened the door, and was instantly met with a pair of plum-colored eyes that were framed with a familiar face. Soft locks of wavy, amber-gold hair twitched slightly in the mid-spring breeze blowing outside. Oliver smiled happily.

"I was wondering when you would get here Morrow! You and Era are late...speaking or Era, where is-"

A slight wind caught his ear.

"boo."

Oliver let out a startled yelp and ducked down as a pyramid of icy pillars formed around him like, a shield summoned by a flick of his wrist. A single silent moment passed before laughter from outside filled the air around him. Cautiously, he dismissed the topmost pillars above his head with a flick of his writs and peeked out of his hiding place at the disturbance behind him. His eyes fell upon a head of shoulder-length blonde hair that seemed to sway to a nonexistent breeze. A single distinct scar ran across the semi-translucent skin over their throat, of which matched the rest of her in opacity. Most defining to him, however, was the sight of a charm that rested upon their chest, shimmering like a brand of white fire as a silver thread tied itself around the figure's neck like a necklace as they floated lazily a foot or two off the ground. Oliver shot up from his hiding place, annoyed beyond belief.

"Era why? You scared the living life out of me!"

Still chuckling, Era turned her emerald gaze towards her friend's azure stare.

"Because you startle easily, Oliver. Its hilarious."

An embarrassed blush crept across his face as Oliver quickly dismissed what remainder of his icy bastille, allowing Morrow to slip past as she made her way into the house, Era following close behind.

"Ya know," Morrow said, "she's not lying."

Oliver huffed and shut the door before following them back down the hall towards the family room, only to see his sister chuckling as his friends told her what had happened.

"Maybe I should give that a try," Alicia said between snickers," It might make it easier to get his attention."

Oliver shot her a sharp glare.

"Don't you dare!"

"Ollie, Alie, can I raid your kitchen cabinets now?" Era asked. A few hours had passed since the duo had arrived at the twin's house, and the moon was now shining high above them.

"No," both twins replied in sync, "you can't."

"Why not?"

'Because," Oliver replied, "We got food specifically for this occasion."

"...So you raided your own cabinets."

The twins glanced at each other, and got to their feet, running out of the room as quickly as they could. They ran back into the room, arms full of ramen packets and other microwaveable foods.

"...Yes."

I most definitely did not take Oliver and Alicia's names and appearances from Ni No Kuni. Nope. Not at all. Thanks for reading!
