Small raindrops fell from the silver-grey clouds that obscured the pale blue sky, the drops shattering into fragments of water as they thudded against the green forest leafs. The woodland trees shook with the twirling wind; their foliage murmuring their song through the mid-spring woodlands. A 14-year-old girl trotted calmly through the drizzle, a messy mix of wavy maple brown and Hickory leaf gold hair draped past her elbows and cutoff at her hips as the tears of the clouds wetted it. Her scarlet and marmalade eyes brimmed with content and tranquility as she gazed ahead at no one thing in particular. A small array of pale freckles dotted the space beneath her eyes, as though trying to pull attention away from the faint scars and burn marks that coated her face and body from a variety of past skirmishes and frays that she had had experienced throughout her life. A slightly torn, short-sleeved tawny brown top and a pair of knee-length, gingerbread pants clung to her short, lean frame. A small smile stretched across her thin, rose pink lips as she enjoyed the simple simplicity of the rain.

As she wandered through a small clearing, she closed her eyes, and allowed her slightly-Scottish accented voice to slip from between her lips, and weave its way into a song.

"Umbrella at your side, it's raining but you close it tight.

Those heels that you like are soaking, is that alright?"

The sound of another pair of feet walking through the woods caught her attention, but she chose to ignore it, and continue singing.

"Let out a sigh for another day the same as the last.

Come on let's try, dye it blue and change it up from the past

Reflecting up from a puddle but then gone in a flash

Is that the most that you can dream or wanted to see?"

The footsteps continued, but she chose to pay them no mind as a figure gazed at her through the trees.

"But look around, Dance up and down,

the world is now, still going 'round,

just feel it pound, we're skyward bound,

Move at the top – speed – of –!"

Suddenly, her foot hit a stone and sent her tumbling to the ground face-first with a shout, bringing her song to an abrupt end. Grumbling, she pulled her mud-covered face off the ground, and flicked the muck that coated her face in an attempt to get it off, her eyes staring at the ground in front of her. After a few moments, a sot chuckle darted through the air as a pair of furry, snow white fox paws appeared in front of her.

She gazed up at the foxlike figure before her, her bi-colored eyes wide with surprise. The creature in front of her seemed like a fox mixed with a bit of human. It stood at the height of an average person, large paws replacing its feet. Its ankles were lined with a stripe of obsidian fur that divided its snowy fur and legs as red as flames. Three long, fluffy fox tails stretched out from behind it, the rightmost tail nothing more than a brand of fire. The center tale was coated with plush white fur, much like its paws, and its left tail was the same black as the ankles. The being's front paws were the same as those in the back- snowy paws, obsidian wrists, and flame like arms. The remainder of the creature shared the same flame color as its arms and leg- save for the tips of its ears, of which were colored a pale silver. Kind, emerald eyes gazed down at her as it extended a paw down to the young girl.

"Need any help, Autmn?" The Fox asked.

Autmn smiled as she took the creature's paw, allowing them to pull her to her feet. She looked at the gentle being before her, her eyes sparkling with delight.
