A loud, high pitched noise filled the once silent bedroom.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The room remained still, aside from the noise, before a grumble resounded from the right side of the room. From a lumped mess of green and blue bedding and wavy black locks appeared a dark-skinned face, blue eyes narrowed in annoyance against the morning light streaming through the window.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
They sighed tiredly and shut their eyes before grumbling to the person occupying the bed on the other side of the room.
"Coriander," they yawned, "'s time to get up, Coriander."
The ginger mumbled in annoyance before pulling their violet blanket closer to them. The black haired one began to stretch.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
"C'mon Cori. We've got things to do and places to be. Get up."
Coriander bundled tighter into her blanket cocoon.
"Fuck off, Miryenn."
C'mon, Riri! Get up!"
Coriander didn't respond.
"You've gotta get up, Ri."
The freckled ginger remained silent. Miryenn picked up a pillow and threw it across the room.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
"Coriander, get up! We've got to open up the cafe, and you need to get to class on-"
Beep. Beep. Beep.
A pillow smacked her face dead on, cutting her off. The pillow fell onto her lap as she stared ahead at Coriander, the ginger's hazel eyes blazing with annoyance.
Beep. Beep. Bee-.
Coriander slammed her hand on the snooze button, not breaking her gaze.
"Miryenn, It's Sunday. We don't have classes. The cafe doesn't open until noon. It's six thirty. In. The. Fucking. Morning. Fuck off."
Miryenn stared at Coriander as she flopped back under the purple blanket and went back to sleep.
"Oh."
