Imagine One: Dustin Henderson

{Dustin Henderson X Reader}

You were Mike's twin sister, the two of you were best friends and told each other everything and you were even part of his friend group but you were never invited downstairs during the dungeons and dragons campaigns, which you understood. Mike did need time away from you but things got kind of lonely without him and the other boys, especially when these things would go on for hours on end.
Sure you had Nancy but she was usually hanging out with Barb, or Steve Harrington. Like mike you two told each other everything so you knew about Steve sneaking in at night.

You were sitting upstairs reading a book in your room while Mike and his friends were down in the basement playing dungeons and dragons. You found yourself trapped in your thoughts about what the boys are doing. Are they talking about crushes? No, they aren't like girls.  I fell back onto my back and looked up at my ceiling.
Why don't they ever let me go down there? Even just to say hi.

I got up from my bed and walked downstairs to the main floor where my dad was fiddling with the t.v headset in hopes of getting a better signal, my mom was rinsing dishes, and Nancy was at the kitchen table finishing whatever homework she had leftover. You sighed quietly as you sat down at the kitchen table where Mike would usually sit.

"(Y/N), honey can you tell Mike to come upstairs please." Your mom asked sweetly as she was trying to balance your baby sister and putting plates in the cupboards at the same time.

"Sure." You mumbled quietly as you got up from the table. You quietly snuck down half the staircase not being seen or heard by any of the boys.

"Come on man, we all told you some deep secrets and this time there are no chicken outs!" Lucas was careful not to raise his voice.

"But," Dustin whined.

"No, but's! Come on it's not like she's sitting in my house, and we already swore that we wouldn't tell anyone about who you like." Mike said. Everything went quiet for a little while. "Wait,"

"You like Nancy?" Will's high voice squealed.

"Ew no!" Both Dustin and Mike yelled at the same time. Things went quiet again.

"Come on Dustin! Just tell us already and get it over with!" Lucas was starting to get impatient. You ran up the stairs and knocked on the basement door as if you were just coming down.

"Hey Mike, Mom wants you!" I yelled before running out to the front porch and slipping on my shoes. I ran outside where my bike was leaning against the garage. I sat next to it and began fiddling with the broken chain.

"Oh, hi (Y/N)." A voice came from behind you. You quickly turned around to face none other than Dustin. A shy smile danced across his lips as a slight blush crept across his cheeks. You couldn't help but smile at how cute he was. Ever since you were young you had a tiny bit of a crush on Dustin and as you guys got older you started to develop more and more of a crush on him.

"Hi, Dustin." You smiled as you wiped you grease covered hands on a paper towel.

"Whatcha doing?" He asked politely.

"Trying to fix the chain on my bike," You sighed. "It broke on the way home from school yesterday."

"Here let me help I'm a pro at this." He smiled.

"Shouldn't you be getting home? I mean you don t want to be late."

"I'll be fine (Y/n)." He sat down next to you and helped pop the bike chain on your bike. You turned and looked at him. You two were sitting so close to each other that your faces were inches away when he turned and looked at you in the eye.

"Thanks, Dustin." You were mesmerized by his bright eyes that were staring into yours.

"Anytime." He was no longer smiling for he had gotten lost in your eyes. You felt paralyzed, lost in his eyes as he was lost in yours. "Uh, I should probably go." 

"Oh, yeah. Bye, Dustin." You slightly frowned as he grabbed his bike off the driveway and got on. You got up from the ground and were about to shut off the outdoor lights.

"Hey (Y/N)." Dustin looked over at you.

"Yeah."

"Do you maybe wanna go out sometime?" He hesitated slightly.

"That would be amazing."

Sorry, it's a bit lame and not as great as I wanted it to be.

I'll try to post soon, I've been a bit busy with school and sports lately but I'll try to get this back on track.
