Tris's POV

Chapter 9

It has been month since Tobias and I have been dating and we couldn't be any happier. When you get past all of his egotistical personality he is actually the sweetest and funniest person on earth.

Our baby project has been going very well. Tobias is actually really good with 'babies' he actually treats it as if it's a real baby.

We are in the car on the way to school and last night was one of Tobias's ruff nights so he has been on edge. When he has those really bad nights with Marcus the slightest thing will push him over the edge.

We are 30 minutes early so we just sit in the car and talk. the 'baby' starts crying and we try to make it stop. After about 15 minutes of it Tobias takes it and slams it on the ground making it's arm fall off.

He stares at shock at what he just did and sits back with worry and fear in his eyes.

"Tobias what's wrong? It's just a doll it's fine."

He turns to me,"See that's the thing what if that was a real baby my baby I don't want to become a monster like Marcus. What if one night I come home stressful and take it out on my child the same way Marcus does."

I sigh and take his hands,"You are nothing like Marcus so don't compare yourself to him. Unlike him you actually have a heart and you have the biggest heart I know. When it comes to the people you love you would never hurt them, you put them before you."

He smiles and kisses me,"I love you."

I sit there in shock. this is the first time he's said it and it brings butterflies to my stomach,"I love you too."

We sit in his car kissing for who knows how long until we hear a bunch of catcalls and banging on the car. We jump apart and look out the window to find our group of friends standing around the car.

I groan annoyed by them ruining our moment. Tobias grins and kisses me one last time before stepping out of his car running over to my side opening my door. Which earns him another kiss from me for being such a gentleman.

"Why did you guys have to do that?" I whine turning to my friends

"If we didn't then you would be late for class." Zeke says smirking

Tobias scoffs,"Yeah like I haven't been late before."

I chuckle and drag him into the building with everyone else towing behind us. Tobias walks me over to my first period and leans on the door. I lean in and give him one more kiss before walking into class.

Christina and Marlene come in not much later and sit in their seats next to me.

"Oh my gosh Tris you are like the cutest couple ever!" Christina exclaims.

"I always knew you guys would get together!" Marlene adds

Christina was about to go on one of her long rants, but our teacher came in and told Christina to shut up so he can start teaching. Thank goodness.

When class is over Chris and Marlene leave right away while I take my time. Right when I step out in the hall someone grabs me and pushes me against the wall. I look up to see who it is and I see Lauren standing there glaring at me. If looks could kill then I would be 6 feet under ground.

"Stay away from Four." she hisses

I chuckle harshly,"Yeah and why would I do that last time I checked your not in control of my actions."

"You know when you two started going out I thought he was just going to keep you for a day, get what he wants then throw you away. I mean look at you what does he see in you? Your just a short ugly little girl you are defiantly not his taste I'm way better for him."
