Tris's POV

"Toby? Is that really you?" The girl Hannah asks. Tobias nods and kneels on one knee while opening up his arms and she runs and gives him a big hug.

"I missed you so much Toby." She says with tears in her eyes and Tobias does as well

"I know I missed you too." He says. I look around confused and everyone looks confused as well even Zeke and Uriah does and they know everything about him. Tobias stands up and glares at the guy Justin.

"Why did you come back?" Tobias asks harshly.

"Well hello to you too that's no way to greet your brother." wait what? brother? He has a brother? and if that is his brother then is that his sister?

"Oh I'm sorry I should greet you with open arms after what you did 4 years ago." Tobias says sarcastically.

Justin rolls his eyes,"You've always been a little dramatic."

"Dramatic!? Try living my life and you would finally understand me. My whole life is a drama. Try being your brother I've always hated it but I thought that maybe you would be the true older brother I thought you would turn out I be but you proved me wrong 4 years ago." Tobias says. Whatever happened between him and his brother he is still mad at him.

Justin shakes his head,"You will never understand will you? Come on Hannah we've got to go."

She frowns and hugs Tobias again,"By Toby I love you."

"I love you too Han." Hannah puts the dog Chewy on the leash and walks away with Justin. When they are out of sight we all turn to Tobias with our eyebrows raised.

He sighs,"sit down this is a long story." we all do as he says and sit at a picnic table.

He sighs again and starts to explain,"So as you guys could tell that was Hannah and Justin and they are my brother and sister. Hannah is 10 and Justin is 20, 2 years older than me. And you all know about my father-"

He stops taking a deep breath and runs his fingers through his hair before continuing,"My father loved Justin and Hannah he would have never thought about laying a finger on them. Justin was a football player and quite a lady's man. And that's where the similarities stop. In my dad's eyes Justin is a complete angel and I'm the devil. He would always pick on me and call me a worthless piece of crap just as Marcus always does. We would get in physical fights all because he pushed me to far and if Marcus caught us Justin would blame it on me even if it was clearly his fault and of course he would believe what Justin says. And Marcus loved Hannah because she was his only girl, the youngest and you can't not like her. All I am is the worthless piece of crap middle child."

"So what happened between you and your brother?" Christina asks.

"Well when I was in freshman year in high school Justin was a junior. One day he decided his life is 'so hard' that he had to run away. He left the next day taking Hannah with him. I never even got to say bye to her. We were always so close when we were young and it broke my heart when I found out he took her with him and any good brother would take his brother with him, but no not Justin. My mother died because of my dad's abuse and I was the only one left that Marcus abuses and Justin never thought once about takin me with him to escape the monster I call my dad."

My heart breaks in two. I can't believe he had to go through this,"What happened when Marcus found out they left?" Will asks

"He blamed me. He thought that they left because of me. And the beatings just got worse from there. Justin always knew that Marcus beat me but he never did anything, but Hannah never knew anything. He would act like the 'perfect' father every time she was around but if she wasn't then nothing good ever happened."

"Why didn't Uriah and I know about this? How did we not know you have a brother? And you said your sister died" Zeke says in complete shock

"Well Justin never wanted anyone to know that I'm his brother, because he was to embarrassed by me so if I hung out with my friends or say him at school he would just act like he didn't know me. And I acted like my sister died because it was just to much to tell people that my sister left me." He says his eyes getting glassy with tears.

I wrap my arms around Tobias's torso,"no one should have to go through what you have. You deserve so much more." I tell him. He grins and looks down at me. I smile back and kiss his lips lightly only for a second this time remembering that our friends are right in front of us.

"I love you." I whisper

"I love you too." he whispers back.

Tobias's POV

After we leave the park we go our separate ways. when I get home I see no car in the driveway. Marcus comes back from his trip sometime today thank goodness he isn't home right now I just need to clear my head.

I walk down the long hallways of the upper level in the house. I walk in Hannah's room. It looks the same was as the day she left. Her room is all pink. Pink being her favorite color. Her room is the true definition of a girl. walking over to my room my feet stop in front of Justin's room. I haven't been in his room ever since he left and for some reason my feet move in the direction of his room.

His room looks similar to mine but with a touch of Justin style and instead of having black every where there is red. As I walk towards his desk something catches my eye stuck in the shelves of his desk. I pick up a envelope that reads Tobias. the front door opens signaling Marcus is home I grabbed the letter and ran to my room. There is something about the footsteps. Marcus isn't alone. Someone is over.

"Tobias!" Marcus shouts but less like a monster and more like a father. Someone is defiantly over.

"Coming!" I call back and make my way downstairs. I find my father sitting on the couch talking to two people. but not just any two people. It's Justin and Hannah.

"Look who came back. They will be living here again." Marcus says acting like the caring father Hannah thinks he is.

"What? Your moving back here?" I ask Justin with disgust in my tone.

"Tobias! Your brother has been gone for 4 years and this is how you greet him. Do I need remind you why they left?" He asks me

"No sir." I mutter

"Good now go back in your room." I roll my eyes and walk back to my room. I lay on my bed and pull out the letter I found in Justin's room and open it up.

Tobias,

I know you hate me for leaving. I don't blame you. The reason I left is something to explain if I ever see you again. Just know that I never meant to hurt you.

-Justin

I sigh and put up the letter. I want to know why he left but I also don't want to face my brother. Why does my life have to be so hard?

A/N: ok so this chapter may be a bit boring but this is just the start of drama. I will hopefully update soon. I have no school tomorrow thankfully because of snow. ok so get this...

My school cancelled school one day when it was 18 degrees out but they didn't cancel school when there was a 100% chance of snow today. So in the middle of the school day the snow started coming down and the roads starting freezing over so my older sister who is a senior had to check me out and we had to go over to the middle school and get my little sister. Our house is 15 minutes away from school. It took 4 hours to get home. 4 hours of sitting in traffic and slipping on icy roads. Our school is literally so stupid.

Anyways that was just a little story that happened today in my life. Did any of you get snow today or have any snow stories?

Thank you for reading! I love you guys! 😘
