Chapter 23

Hey before we begin this chapter I just want everyone to read a Divergent fanfic called Asend by M1sch3v1ous2Cheerful it's really amazing and you guys will really like it. Ok now time for the chapter!!! Hope you all enjoy!

Tris's POV

"Trissy you better be ready in 10 minutes because I'm picking you up." Christina says through the phone.

"Ok then get off the phone so I can go get ready." I say then run up stairs. I don't need to do I just need to have a little school spirit. I throw on one of Tobias's football sweatshirts that I stole from him which has his name and football number on the back.

"Caleb!" I shout when I get downstairs.

"What?" he asks coming down the stairs.

"Are you sure you don't wanna come to the game tonight?"

"Yeah I'm sure football games aren't really my thing."

"Ok... Lynn is going to be there though."

"I- I'm good. Hey I need I tell you something." Caleb says then the door swings open.

"Come on Tris! We don't have all day!" Christina says pulling me out the door.

"Sorry Caleb! Tell me later! Love ya!" I shout then Chris pushes me in her car. Very harshly.

"Geez Chris calm down." she rolls her eyes then we drive off getting to the school in about 10 minutes.

"Come on they are sitting over there." Christina says then drags me over to where Lynn, Shauna, and Marlene are sitting.

"Hey!" I say once we get there.

"Hey guys! you came just in time it's starting!" Marlene says

"And now please welcome your Divergent Devils!" The announcer says through the intercom. Everyone whoops and hollers as the football team runs out. I only focus on person. player #4. The hottest quarter back I've ever seen. Tobias.

*time laps!*

There's 10 more seconds on the clock and they are right by the goal line. If they get this touchdown then they win.

"Set hike." Tobias says. He looks for an open spot and he finds Zeke in the open. He throws him the ball and Zeke successfully catches it and runs as fast as he can getting a touchdown. The entire place erupts with cheers.

"We did it!" I shout to Christina. Then the girls and I run onto the field to congratulate are boyfriends. Tobias's back is facing me but he turns around right as I'm almost to him then I jump into his arms. He's surprised at first but then he relaxes and hugs me back.

"You did it! I knew you could!" I say looking into his beautiful blue eyes. He smiles and kisses me one full of passion. The whole world seems to melt and I completely forget about the huge stadium full of people probably watching us right now. Someone clears their voice and we separate. In front of us is an uptight man and lady around their 40's.

"Hi we are from Chicago University and we must say your football skills are exquisite." The lady says.

The man pulls out an envelope and hands it to Tobias,"We would love to have you at our school." Then they walk away before Tobias can say anything. He looks over at me with wide eyes and a huge grin.

"I got in!!" He says picking me up and spinning me around. I remember him talking about this school. This school has the best football program in the nation and the best NFL players come from there.

"I'm so proud of you!!" I shout wrapping my arms around his neck.

"So what do you say I go get changed and we can go get something for dinner?"He asks

"Sounds perfect." I say and he walks into the locker room and I go over to Zeke, Uriah, and Will to congratulate them. After about 10 minutes Tobias walks over to me.

"Ok see you guys later!" I shout

"Wait where are you two going?" Will asks.

"Shut up creeper we are just going to get something to eat." I say

"Ok what ever you say." Uriah say dragging out the words. I roll my eyes and we walk away from our so called friends.

"Make wise choices!" Zeke shouts. Tobias and I chuckle as we get into his car.

"Dauntless diner?" Tobias asks

"Dauntless diner." I confirm

"Tobias does it seem to you like that car is following us?" I ask. We have been driving for 10 minutes and that car has been following us ever since we left the school.

"Yeah seems like it." He says then takes a back way to see if they are following us but the car just keeps on going.

"Hm guess not. Tris you should probably know something." Tobias says cautiously.

"What is it Tobias? You do know you can tell me anything right?"

"Yeah. I- I will tell you at dinner. Just whatever happens just remember I do and will always love you." He says hesitantly. I nod not wanting to push him into telling me whatever he wants to tell me. after about 5 minutes we arrive. I think I see the same black SUV that was following us when we park but it may be a coincidence. Tobias runs over to my door and opens it wide for me. I smile and give him a kiss.

"Awwww your such a gentleman." a sarcastic voice says behind us. We both turn around and see Eric leaning on the SUV that was following us.

"Eric." Tobias spits out like its venom.

"Hey Four. Long time no see huh? missed me?"

"What do you want?" Four asks in a deathly tone. While pushing me behind him defending me.

"Oh Four I think you know what I or should I say we want." Eric says

"Who says I have it?" Four asks. What the heck is happening in so confused.

"I'm not stupid. You and your little friends Zeke and Uriah have it. You know next time you take something from me you should be a little more careful." What? Now Zeke and Uriah?

"What the matter Tris? Looks like your little boyfriend here isn't completely honest with you now is he?" Eric asks

"Eric don't bring her into this. This is between you and me." Tobias growls.

"Well I better have it by the end of this week or the beloved Four will be no more." Eric threatens then drives off in a blink of an eye. I look over at Tobias and see him looking around frantically while his grip on me tightens to protect me.

"Tobias what the heck is going on?" I ask

He sighs,"I was going to tell you this over dinner but you need to get home. Tomorrow come over I will invite the group. Zeke, Uriah, and I." I nod my head and we drive away in silence both deep in thought.

"Please be safe Tris goodnight." Tobias says as we pull into my driveway.

"No need to worry about me. Goodnight Toby." I say then kiss him and head inside not knowing what's in store for tomorrow.

A/N: Ok this chapter is really short I know but I'm sitting in the airport waiting to board the plane. I'm not sure if I can update this weekend especially tomorrow because it's my birthday but I will defiantly try my hardest to.
