Seungcheol leaned his head back in the chair in the principles office. He let out a long exasperated sigh and ran a hand through his black hair. He wasn't surprised that he was here again. It wasn't an unusual thing. But he wished it wasn't for the reason that it was. He regretted taking his frustration out on Jeonghan has soon as it had happened.

"Mr. Choi, welcome back," said the middle aged man as he sat in a big chair behind the wooden desk.

"Look, Mr. Park," Seungcheol started, "I know I'm usually the person to try to get out of punishments, but I totally deserved it this time, I'll take anything you give me."

The principle only chuckled to himself.

"I'm not giving you punishment, Seungcheol."

Seungcheol stared at the old man for a moment.

"But... why?"

Jeonghan sat on his bed, tears dripping down his reddened cheeks. Jisoo spoke through the phone, trying to calm him down but his tears kept coming.

He wasn't bawling like he was only 2 days prior, but he hiccuped through uncontrolled sniffles. His voice quivered and shook as he tried to explain things to Jisoo, but the latter just shushed him, telling him not to hurt himself. And every time Jeonghan would begin to control his breathing, his fingers would graze over the bandaid on his cheek, reminding him of what happened, sending another wave of sadness over him.

"You guys only went out for like... four or five days," Jisoo said, "maybe you two really were meant to hate eachother."

Jeonghan laid down on his bed with Jisoo's voice on speaker next to his face. Jeonghan buried his head into his pillow and found that Seungcheol's scent still lingered there. He took a fistful of sheets to his face and cried into them, the smell of Seungcheol circulating through his lungs.

"I know," he croaked into the phone, "I don't know why I'm so upset."

"Hey, you know what I think will cheer you up?"

Jeonghan sniffled.

"What?"

"If i come over and we watch anime and eat two whole pizzas ourselves likes we used to do after school before you transferred."

Jeonghan could practically hear Jisoo's smile through the speaker, and he couldn't help but grin. He hadn't seen his best friend since he had moved schools due to Jisoo's busy schedule. He agreed immediately.

Seungcheol poured water into three containers of cheap cup ramen and put them into the microwave, taking the responsibility of cooking dinner that night, as usual. His mother looked through newspapers, hoping to find a better paying job than the two she currently held. His younger sister played games on his phone, it being the only smart phone the family could afford. Seungcheol always made sure to have fun games downloaded onto it for Seunghee to play. It was worth the money payed on the bill for extra storage.

The microwave beeped, signaling the three to gather in the kitchen around the small, circular table. Seungcheol poured the noodles into three smaller, but nicer bowls, making the meal look slightly bigger than it was.

They started eating right away, not quite filling their stomachs, but satisfying themselves enough to last until their next meal.

"Cheollie?" Seunghee asked once she had finished. "Who's Jeonghan?"

Seungcheol almost spit out his food once heard his younger sisters  question. His mother side-eyed him with a raised eye brow.

"How did you find out about that?"

"Well, you texted him a lot," Seunghee said innocently.

Seungcheol snatched his phone off the table next to her.

"You read my messages?"

The girl nodded and Seungcheol sighed and internally facepalmed, but he wasn't going to lash out on his little sister. The poor girl had a rough life already.

"Id like to know who this person is too," Seungcheol's mother mentioned.

"He's no one," he plainly answered, but Seunghee giggled to herself.

"He didn't seem like 'no one'," she sassed, and their mother laughed as well.

Seungcheol groaned.

"I was doing a project with him for a class. I went to his house to work on it and I guess..." Seungcheol stopped talking and shrugged.

"And now you have a boyfriend?" Seunghee asked.

"A boyfriend?" Said Seungcheol's mother, "I didn't know I had a gay son. This is interesting."

Seungcheol rolled his eyes at the last comment.

"I don't have a boyfriend," he said.

"But you texted hi-"

"Those messages don't matter anymore."

Seunghee and Ms. Choi looked at each other and back at Seungcheol.

"Is it something you want to talk about?" Ms. Choi said.

Seungcheol looked at the ground and mentally cursed himself for thinking about Jeonghan when he should be paying attention to his family.

"No," he said sternly. He then stood up quickly. "I'm going to bed, please put the bowls in the sink, I'll wash them in the morning."

He ran into his bedroom and flopped onto his unmade bed and stared at the ceiling. He had posters of American bands from the 80's that he had found out about from Hansol. CDs lined his walls and surrounded a little CD player that sat on a small desk in the corner of the room. On his way into the room, he tapped the play button, forgetting what was currently in the player, but he found himself relaxing voice of Paul Simon leaking through the speakers. Not from the 80's, but the man at the music store recommended it.

He let the music sink into him as the thoughts ran through his mind. At this point he wasn't sure whether he hated Jeonghan, or if he liked him. From the day they met they went from making each others lives a living hell, to loving the others company. And now, he wasn't sure which one they were at.

He couldn't make up his mind. Half of him never wanted to see Jeonghan again, and the other half desperately wanted him here, laying next to him.

Seungcheol covered his face in his hands as he felt a lump form in his throat and tears pricking at his eyes. He didn't want to cry. Not over Jeonghan. But the longer he laid here, listening to the voices of Simon and Garfunkle, he finally realized what the awful feeling was.

He wanted to hate Jeonghan, but he missed him terribly.
