Jeonghan came into school, dreading this evening. The thought of Seungcheol being at his house both scared and disgusted him. Who knew what was going to happen?

He wandered around in the front part of school, waiting for Mingyu. A place they realized that both Wonwoo and Seungcheol would see them. A perfect place for them to continue their "plan".

Soon, Mingyu came around the corner with a huge smile on his face.

"Why're you so happy?" Jeonghan said as the younger approached him.

"It worked! It worked Jeonghan!"

"What do you mean?"

At this point, Mingyu was out of breath. He had pulled Jeonghan into a corner where no one would see them. So he spoke in broken sentences.

"Wonwoo texted me... Yesterday. He said he... Wants me back. It worked."

Jeonghan smiled. He was just one step closer to making Seungcheol look like an idiot once again.

"That's great Mingyu!" He said, genuinely happy for him.

"I'm just glad we don't have to do this," Mingyu laughed under his breath, but Jeonghans smile faded.

"Wait, what?"

"Since I got Wonwoo back, pretending to date each other is pointless now right? So we never even really had to do this in the first place."

"Mingyu do you even remember anything I told you?" Jeonghan said, getting annoyed and slightly angry, "you get Wonwoo, and then both of you help me show people that Seungcheol isn't the big tough guy he seems. What happened to that?"

"Well... About that," Mingyu started, he began to look very worried, "I went to Wonwoo's house last night after he texted me and Seungcheol happened to be there..."

Jeonghan was angrier and angrier at every word, and he was terrified at what was at the end of this story.

"... Of course he was pissed. He almost put me me out right then and there. But, after talking... a lot of talking, everything ended up alright and..."

Jeonghan stiffened. If Mingyu said what he thought he was about to say, he wasn't sure what he was going to do. He'd be on his own again. Not a single friend. Mingyu would be forced to be anything but kind to him. It would be that much easier for Seungcheol to keep being awful to him. He hoped he wouldn't say it.

"...were kind of... Friends again."

Jeonghan could almost feel himself get shorter. He said what he hoped he wouldn't say.

"What the fuck, Mingyu?" Jeonghan snapped, suddenly very loud, "you're just quitting on me like that? You're talking to me right now just to tell me that you can't talk to me anymore?"

"Jeonghan I'm so-"

"No, shut up," Jeonghan interrupted, "I totally just fixed your whole life and you're paying me back by ruining mine more than it already has been?! What the fuck?!"

"Hey, Mingyu," a deep voice said. Jeonghan turned over Mingyu's shoulder as he turned around to see Wonwoo standing there, "is everything okay?"

"Yeah- yeah," he replied quickly, "just fine."

Jeonghan switched his glare back and fourth between Mingyu and Wonwoo until finally landing on the taller of the two.

"You're a real jerk, Kim Mingyu."

He turned to walk away but stopped when Mingyu started to speak.

"At least I'm not trying to use people for revenge. This isn't Shakespeare, Jeonghan. No ones going down with you here."

Mingyu interlocked his fingers with Wonwoo's as they walked away. Jeonghan was furious. He didn't know what to do at this point. He just walked away from the corner and made his way to his first class, his head hanging low.
