So She

She was ten, ten years old and this thing came and stole her soul

She was eleven, not even a teen, when all these kids decided to be mean

She was twelve, twelve years old and the depression hit

But then she said

"This monster thought it could claim me, but I won't let it name me"

So she smiles with her friends and she ignores the whispers

She laughs and says yes when someone wants to kiss her

She stands up for what she believes in and cheers her team on

She's gonna live a better life then half of us

"Hey! Zombie!"

Another name another day, she doesn't care

It doesn't hurt her no more, she isn't scared

Takes a step away from her friends, and there they are

The bullies, the bitches, the ones with cold hearts

She steps up and smiles and says hello

She fights back with a smile that makes her face glow

Either way they maim her and hurt her and try to bring her down

They told her to die and cut, they left her to sob

But then she said

"This monster thought it could claim me, but I won't let it name me"

So she smiles with her friends and she ignores the whispers

She laughs and says yes when someone wants to kiss her

She stands up for what she believes in and cheers her team on

She's gonna live a better life then half of us

She smiles, and damn it's bright

She laughs, and she's happy

But since she smiles so much, you think she's alright

But what you don't know, is that she's been crying herself to sleep at night
