Dave's Point of View
2 Months Later
"Alex come on we gotta go," Britt yelled as I picked up the last box and headed to the moving van.
I went back to LA, spent a month finding a place and finally convinced Britt to come out and see it. She also got to meet the girls and Jordyn. Her and Jordyn didn't really get along but they needed to meet. The girls loved her and couldn't wait to meet Alex, Eric and Lynette. I put the box in the back of the van and closed the door as Britt came out of the house.
"I can't find Alex," Britt said as we walked towards each other.
"Did you check the backyard mom?" Lynette asked as she came out of the house with Eric. They had agreed to drive the moving van while Brit, Alex and I flew out.
"I'll go check. Make sure you have everything before leave babe," I said as I headed towards the backyard. When I opened the gate I saw Alex sitting on the swing set.
"I don't want to leave my swing set behind," Alex said as he looked up at me. I walked over to him and sat on the swing beside him.
"We can get you a new one if you want," I responded with.
"But it's not this one. My dad got me this before he passed away," Alex said as he looked at me.
"It'll still be here when we come back to visit," I said as he looked down to the ground.
"I heard you and mom saying you were gonna sell the house. The new people will propbably get rid of it," he said as he got off the swing and walked over and sat in one of the chairs. I walked over and kneeled down beside him.
"We're not selling the house. If we did, where would we stay when we came to visit uncle Krist?" I asked him. He looked at me with his wide.
"With the goats," he replied with a smile. We both started laughing as Britt came into the backyard.
"What are you two laughing about back here?" she asked as she walked voer to us.
"He thinks we're selling the house. So I asked him where we would stay when we visited uncle Krist if we sold the house," I replied.
"I said with the goats," Alex added as he got out of the chair and walked over to Britt.
"I would never sell this house. Too many memories in it. Plus I don't think the goats would like us staying with them," she replied as she picked Alex up. We all walked out of the backyard together and I closed the gate behind us.
"The goats would eat our clothes, wouldn't they mom?" he asked as we joined Eric and Lynette at the front of the house.
"Uh huh and our shoes and underwear. They'll eat anything," she replied as she put Alex down.
He laughed before running over to Krist who had shown up while we were in the backyard. Krist had offered to drive us to the airport so that we didn't have to worry about Britt's car, which was in the garage for when we came back. I started walking towards Krist and the car when I looked back and saw Britt staring at the house as Eric locked the front door. I walked back to her as Eric and Lynette both got in the moving van.
"We'll be back beautiful," I said as I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed the top of her head.
"I know but I'm still going to miss it," she replied as she turned around in my arms.
"I will too. We gotta go though," I said back as I let go of her.
"I know," she said sadly as she grabbed my hand.
