Britt's Point Of View

"Friday can't come fast enough," I exclaimed as Dave sat down on the couch with me.

"He could come any day now. How you feeling?" he asked as he rubbed my huge belly.

"Tired and sore but other than that I'm ok. Still kind of hungry though," I replied as Alex came into the living room with Ophelia.

"What does my girl want to eat? I can go hunt and kill some chicken nuggets if you want," Dave said with a huge grin on his face.

"You gonna fight them to the death for me?" I joked back and he kissed my cheek.

"If I have to. Fifi Alex you guys want some chicken nuggets?" he asked and they both said yes please.

Dave headed into the kitchen to make the nuggets while I stayed right where I was. I caved after new years and stopped doing so much. When Dave went out of town a few times, Lynette and Eric both stepped up and helped me with Alex and with a few things to do with the store back in Seattle. I watched Alex as he read a story to Ophelia and my heart melted. I felt a sharp pain at the top of my bely and closed my eyes as I breathed through it. I opened my eyes and saw Lynette sitting on the coffee table beside my feet.

"You ok mom? Do you need anything?" she asked. I could tell she was worried so I took her hand and just held it.

"I'm fine and your dad is killing chicken nuggets with his bare hands for us. What you doing up here? You usually don't come out of your little area on your days off," I said and she made a face as she sat beside me.

"Eric and Frances are making all kind of noises so I came up here. Wanna watch a little Nashville with me? It starts up again soon and we got a few left," Lynette asked.

"Baby girl I know what happens and I'm already sad about it. I guess we can watch it but if I start crying I'm going to turn it off," I said.

Lynette turned the tv on and got it set up from the dvr as Ophelia came and joined us on the couch. She cuddled up on the other side of me as the episode started and Alex stayed where he was but was watching the tv too. Dave came and joined us once the chicken nuggets where finished and the girls and I ate out of one bowl while Dave sat beside Alex with a bowl. We where watching a scene with Rayna and Deacon when Ophelia decided to start talking.

"I like that name," she said.

"Which one Fifi?" Dave asked and she sat up a bit so she could look at Dave.

"Deacon," she said back with a huge smile. I felt the baby kick and then another pain came and I closed my eyes again.

"Mom are you sure you're ok?" Lynette asked after she looked at her watch.

"Ya I'm fine. I like Deacon too and I think the baby does as well," I replied. Ophelia put her hand on my belly and said Deacon. The baby kicked again and she smiled.

"I think we may have finally named the little one. Fifi go see if your sisters like the name before we make it official," Dave said. Ophelia got off the couch and ran into the kitchen where her sister where doing homework. She came running back in shortly after and over to Dave.

"They like it!" she exclaimed and jumped up and down in excitement.

"Well then it's settled. Deacon Avery Ezra Grohl it is," I said. I felt another pain and I closed my eyes again and I breathed through it.

"Dad I think mom is having contractions. This is the third time she's done that since we started Nashville," Lynette said.

"Britt maybe we should go just in case. You know what the doctor said," Dave started but I held up my hand.
