Dave's Point of View

"Dad have you seen mom?" Lynette asked as she came into the living room. I was playing with Ophelia on the floor.

"She's laying down. What do you need her for?" I asked as she came and sat down with us.

"Oh I was going to ask if she wanted to go out for a late lunch. Only day off I get for awhile and I thought I'd take her out. Spend some time with her now that she's allowed out of the house," Lynette replied as Phee got up and sat down in Lynette's lap. It still amazed me how fast all the kids bonded and got along.

"She could have gone out if she wanted to but chose not to. Why not hang out with Eric? He's around here somewhere," I said.

"He went out to see Frances. He's meeting her mom today apparently," Lynette responded with and my eyes went wide.

"Things are getting pretty serious there huh?" I asked and Lynette just nodded.

"He's soooo in love. Eric has said that about every single girl he's dated. He can't stay single. He needs to be in a relationship and it's so weird," Lynette replied as Phee started clapping her hands together.

"It's not weird. I hate being alone too," I responded back with and Lynette shrugged at me.

"Mind if I take Phee Phee out to the park for awhile? We could use some sister bonding," Lynette said and Phee jumped up and started shouting in excitement.

"Sure Just make sure she wears a jacket," I replied as we both stood up.

"I will. Come on Phee Phee. Let's go to the park," Lynette said and she chased Ophelia out of the living.

I followed them but headed upstairs instead of to the door. I waved goodbye as they headed out the door and Lynette waved back. I headed into mine and Britt's bedroom. I walked in and over to the bed. Britt was sleeping on her back with one of my shirts and shorts on. She had only done up two buttons so that her bump was sticking out. I got into bed with her and rubbed her belly gently. I couldn't believe how far we had come in the past few weeks. I had released a statement to the media about my divorce, Britt and I, the kids and the baby. Britt and I had decided to go to couples therapy to try and help make things better. We also found out that we were having a boy. As I rubbed Britt's belly I felt the little one kick and smiled. I bent down and kissed her belly and she moved a bit. I saw her yawn and rub her face and knew she was waking up. I moved back up so my head was up by hers as she turned to look at me. Britt smiled at me and my heart skipped a beat.

"Hey you," Britt said softly and rolled onto her side.

"Hey sorry if I woke you up," I said back and she smiled again as she closed her eyes.

"He woke me up. I'm use to you rubbing and kissing my belly. You use to wake up in the middle of the night when I was pregnant with both Eric and Lynette and you would do it until they started kicking. Then you would kiss my cheek and go back to sleep," Britt said and I looked at her surprised. I didn't know that she knew I did that.

"I wanted to make sure they were ok. After Eric was born I would go check on him. Then when you got pregnant with Lynette I'd go check on Eric then come back to you and check on you two," I responded back with and she just looked at me with that smile on her face.

"You still find ways to make me fall in love with you all over again. I missed that. Anyways what brings you upstairs without a certain 2 year old in tow?" she asked.
