Dave's Point of View
6 Weeks Later - October 14th
15 Weeks
"Why are we still arguing over this like 20 years later?" I asked Britt as we walked into our room. I closed the door so the kids wouldnt hear.
"Because I know ok. Courtney told me," Britt started but I didn't let her continue.
"Courtney didn't know what the fuck she was talking about back then. I never fucked Jennifer. I was married to you and I stayed faithful. I never strayed once," I replied. We were arguing about Jennifer, after all these years.
"Whatever I'm over this. It doesn't matter anymore," she said and sat down on the bed.
"I never touched her I swear. I loved you then and I still do. Fuck I wouldn't be here with you right now if I didn't," I replied.
"Dave just drop it please," she respnded back with. I walked over to her and sat beside her.
"You ok babe?" I asked when she looked at me.
"Meh," she replied with a shrug.
"Is it the baby?" I asked her and she shook her head no.
"I just wish I had something to do. I mean watching Ophelia during the day is great but I have nothing to do here. I had the store back home. I could go in whenever I wanted and just work. Didn't need to or have to but I wanted to. Look I know I'm not suppose to be so active but I'm going nuts," she said. I could see the frustration in her eyes.
"You can do whatever you want. What do you want to do?" I asked her as I looked at her. She was looking down at the floor and kicking her feet.
"I don't know. I want to be able to go out and explore. I want to work or something. I need something besides being a mom and your girlfriend," she replied as she looked up at me.
"Two more weeks and we can go out, shop, explore, and do whatever you want. We agreed to wait for Jordyn. I'll make the annoucement soon, I promise. I'm not doing anything today so we can go do something. We'll be rebels and go out for dinner. We'll go out with Taylor and Abby and we'll have some fun just us. Lynette can watch Alex until we get back. Afterwards we can come back here and I'll give you the best sex you've ever had," I said as I tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed just below it.
"All we do is have the best sex ever but I'll take it. One of us should go talk to Lynette though before her and Eric leave for that party," she replied.
"You call Abby and ask her and T out for dinner and start getting ready. I'll go ask Lynette," I said as I stood up. I hed a hand out to her and once she took it, I helped her up.
"Sounds like a plan stan," Britt replied and kissed me before I left the room. I headed downstairs to Eric and Lynette's part of the house. I knocked on the door before I opened it and walked down.
"Hey dad what's up?" Eric asked as Lynette was putting out something in an ashtray.
"I'm taking your mom out for dinner tonight and one of you need to watch Alex til we get back. Your mom is going nuts and needs to get out," I replied. Eric looked at Lynette and he pointed at her.
"I'll stay and do it. It's my one night off but I'll do it. Can you or mom give me a ride to the party when you get back though please?" Lynette asked.
"Sure thing. Thanks Lynette. I owe you one. Just don't smoke that shit upstairs. You can smoke it down here but not upstairs please. I don't care if you smoke it in general, just not in the house upstairs," I said. They both nodded at me and I went back upstairs. Britt was in the kitchen on the phone pouring hot water into a cup when I walked into the kitchen.
