Soooo, how've you liked Simply Complicated so far??
I've been slowly trying to make the chapters shorter and a little more interesting but I think it'll take a bit of more practice.
Anywaysss, this chapter really isn't required to read but would really help with insight and maybe I'll be dropping a few clues here and there...
Now. Let's get on with the recap, shall we? We shall.

In Part. One of this trilogy series Jinx is at home, happy and basically running late to everything as per usual. He makes a casual cup of coffee which he loves and is overly stingy about
He has recovered from his past injury, as shown he was unable to walk for a while as the branch punctured his spine malfunctioning his nerves, thus disabling his legs. He'd been given a turquoise wheelchair which he hated for many reasons yet his mother kept.
Nonetheless
Later, as he's walking to school like a teen- on his phone and not paying much attention when suddenly a dark figure runs across the street and startles him. If you haven't put two and two together, yes the creature was an awoken and it was drawn to Jinx because of his power.
Jinx is partially aware of the life-threatening danger but while not completely sure why, subcautiously walks towards the road when a VERY mysterious boy stops him and tells Jinx nothing was there, knowing he'd seen it too.
A/N: Remember the boy he will play a part in this story.
Jinx later arrives at the book store and is stared at mighty harshly by a woman who thus far to our poor protagonist, completely unknown. Jinx quickly grabs his set books but is set at a halt upon seeing the 'Book Of Requirement' this book meant to be found by Jinx and holding future wisdom for him. The book is rightfully his now and when he paid for it was matched with him.
Yes, as said the book has a mind of its own and can communicate and will upon Jinx's request. The book will answer to no one unless authorized by Jinx and its text will be just as well invisible unless authorized by Jinx.
Later when Jinx is at his interview he meets a young woman and an old man who treats him rather rudely. These two also happening to be very important as when Ridge fought them back they were not killed and got away. (They were also awoken.)
A/N: These two play a part as well.
At this point, Jinx knows of his powers and is at awe by them— well until Ridge jumps in and rushes him out.
