Part I.

I held my hand over my brow squinting, tears rimming around the edges of my eyes so harshly it hurt to keep them open, but yet I couldn't tear my gaze off the powerfully illuminating boy at the end of the bed.

Jinx's body brighter then I'd ever seen it and his wings were so....so beautiful, they pulsed along with every wave of light that sent currents throughout him that seemed to come from his side. His wings were spread and flapping sending strong gusts of wind free wildly in the room.

His body convulsed as he grew higher off the ground and he began singing sweet melodies that started as a quiet whisper that over time developed into a strong enchant that made his feathers glow. His body remained like that for a while building up some type of...power?

Ridge was gripping the bed keeping his balance along with me as his gusts of air became almost violent and looked uncontrolled like...When I first learned my power. Then all the sudden time seemed to slow as quickly as a bullet would take to reach the tip of the gun, and Jinxs'​ light parted around his face enough to see him smile before his body was fully engulfed by his own power and all you could see was a ball of light and hear his enchant on the room seem to roll off his lips like sweet honey.

Everything quickly started to speed up as he got brighter, transitioning time to a fast forward pace making things fly randomly around us four.

I looked over at Ridge and he looked genuinely​ scared outta his wits, "Jinx, stop! You're gonna hurt yourself!"

He yelled but Jinx refused to stop rather making his gusts of winds more strong and relentless as we held onto the bedframe for dear life.

"Jinx, stop!!" Ridge yelled and howled but his voice was drowned out by the whirls of Jinxs' wings.

"J-Jinx, please it's me!" Ridge yelled but it only reached Jinx as a whisper.

Then everything stopped. The stray papers around the room stopped flowing in mid-air, the covers over Dani stopped ruffling, the clock behind Jinx stopped ticking, and all the sudden you could hear two faint heartbeats in the room, I quickly looked at Dani hoping to see her young features once again shine and give me a sliver of hope to grasp. She was the only family I had now. She was my family.

I glanced at Ridge as he looked at Dani also hoping she'd come back. Jinx started singing again; quiet and gentle like a lullaby to a sleeping baby, all the sudden quickly opening his eyes and spreading his wings showing their wingspan and full power. He pulled himself from his self-enchanted trance he'd fallen into when he'd started and his feathers quickly dispersed from his body like small birds fleeing from a falling tree.

They quickly filled the atmosphere and they served almost impossible to see the white ceiling above them as they calmly swam above us waiting for an order. Jinx looked swiftly surprised at first, his now bright eyes searching the room only when seeing Dani's state that he regained control and went back into his enchant this time not closing his eyes when he rose his hands to shoulder level and slowly danced his fingers in front of him as if playing a tune, soon enough feathers dancing down from the ceiling and swimming around his angelic frame like an unnatural tornado filling him up and made a shield-like appearance around where his once heavily covered wings were. He kept a brave face on as he spoke in a foreign language, still singing.
