This part is really long, so grab a snack, a cuddle pillow, and a cup of coffee because you're not gonna want to get lost.

Ridge POV

I opened my eyes as we landed roughly in the hospital garden. I held Jinx close as I broke his fall and my back hit the concrete and a nerve-wracking pain shot through my back.

I grunted as I sat up quickly, the pain shooting through my body like a million stabs directly in my spine.

I yelled in pain, bringing Jinx up along with me, his face dirty and his hair ruffled from impact and the waves' force.

'I have to get him help, I'm not failing on him...I need him....we need him.'

I closed my eyes tightly as I stood, pushing down the pain and ache that spread throughout my back and temples.

I held Jinx to my chest pushing myself on- as I felt myself getting light-headed and my surroundings dizzy as we gained attention from patients sitting in the garden grounds.

'I can do this...I can do this.'

I grit my teeth as patients stared blankly their eyes wide, and jaws slack at our bloodied forms and my torn clothes; fresh blood still trickling down my face and staining my clothes.

I rose my voice as I reached the sliding doors and neared the main entrance and yelled to my co-workers, "GET HELP, NOW!"

They're heads swiveled in my direction, their jaws dropping and all at once stopping in their tracks.

"Oh my god, Friske!" The receptionist awed.

I grit my teeth harder, getting annoyed and my words dripping with a dark edge,

"JUST GET SOME BLOODY HELP, LUCY!"

She nodded, frantically scrambling around her desk and calling the ER department not taking her gaze off me and Jinx.

I took a deep breath in as my sight went dark before it hazed back into focus and I growled at the slow hospital service and headed towards the main ER myself knowing the hospital like the back of my hand holding Jinx tighter and closer to my body securely.

"Friske, wait!"

"Have to save him..." I mumbled, my head fuzzy and unclear.

"Friske, you know protocol!"

I stopped dead in my tracks my head turned shooting daggers at the poor receptionist, as she shrank back in her wheely chair.

"I. Don't. Fucking. Care. Lucy. FIRE ME FOR ALL I CARE JUST HELP HIM!!"

She shuddered, flinching at my hard words looking down at her desk. As patients in the waiting area either shot me a death glare, a look of concern, or confusion between us both.

I looked around as tears streamed down my face and my throat got dry, my heart clenching.

"Somebody just help him!" I yelled before crashing to my knees and touching my forehead with his now cold one.

"Somebody..."
