Mitch woke up to Scott wrapping his strong arms around his waist.

"I love waking up to this." Mitch mumbled tiredly as he turned so he was facing Scott.

"Me too, I love seeing your beauty first thing in the morning." Scott chimed.

It has been a few weeks since the conversation about Mitch getting a job sparked up, and he has applied for several.

"Have any jobs called back?" Scott asked as he sat up slightly.

Mitch checked his phone and saw one missed call, "Umm, yeah."

"Are you gonna call back?" Scott asked, noticing Mitch's uncertainty.

"I guess." Mitch said as he picked up his phone and exited the room. Scott sat in silence, trying to listen to the conversation going on between Mitch and the company hiring him.

Ten minutes passes and Mitch's walked back into the room with a small grin, fake obviously.

"Guess who got the job?" Mitch said as he curled up back in Scott's lap.

Scott smiled and chuckled, "Really? Which one!"

"Walmart employee, hours eight to four in the morning." Mitch said as he sighed.

Scott rubbed his back and kissed behind his ear, "Thank you for doing this, you are helping out the kids more than you think."

"I know, it will just stink not getting to fall asleep next to you until like four thirty in the morning." Mitch mumbled, "But I make ten dollars an hour."

"That's 80 dollars a day, are you working on the weekends?" Scott asked, "And when do you start?"

"I don't work on the weekends but if I want to I can come in for extra money, and I don't know when I start I still have to come in sometime this week to get everything sorted out."

Scott nodded and stood up with Mitch in his arms, "How about we celebrate with pancakes?"

Mitch giggled and wrapped his legs around Scott's waist as they walked into the kitchen, "The kids are still sleeping."

"That they are." Scott mumbled against Mitch's lips.

Scott set a plate of heart-shaped pancakes in from of Mitch along with a cup of coffee.

"Thanks babe." Mitch said with a smile as he took a small sip of his warm drink.

Scott grinned and sat down next to his husband, raising his cup of coffee to clink it against Mitch's, "To the love of my life."

"To the love of my life." Mitch repeated with a smile along his lips.

"So I have been thinking about that trip to the mountains a lot recently, and I think we should go for our anniversary." Scott suggested.

"That's in like a month, we won't have enough money by then."

"Sure we will, we can take out a small loan and pay it back."

Mitch nodded, "Well in that case, I like the idea."

"And the kids can go to my parents house for a week while we vacation it up."

Mitch giggled and agreed with the idea, "I'll start looking for cabins then."

"Yeah so he made me get a job during the night." Mitch explained to Travis over the phone.

"Did you find a job? I know the place I work at is hiring." Travis responded.

"Yeah I found one at that Walmart that is just down the street, so I won't need to waste gas money on getting to work." Mitch explained.

"I-I work at that Walmart. It's the one right down your street right?" Travis asked, suddenly more excited.

Mitch tilted his head, "That's the one."

"So we will be working together?"

"I work night shifts, but you work the evening shifts so we will have a few work hours together." Mitch smiled, "I'll make sure not to inform Scott on that, but I gotta go I have a movie date."

They hung up and Mitch skipped into the living room to sit down on Scott's lap.

Scott immediately wrapped his arms around Mitch and smiled, "I wanna spend as much time with you as possible before you start working, I won't see you as much."

Mitch glanced at him and stuck his bottom lip out, "I know I'll like never see you except for a few hours a day."

The two cuddled each other and their children for the rest of the day, watching movies and fully embracing each other.
