Mitch crossed his legs and pushed his glasses up his nose more as he stared at his computer screen.

"Find any cabins, baby?" Scott asked as he sipped his black coffee.

"Oh, how about this one?" Mitch suggested as he turned the screen towards his husband so he could see.

"How much is it?" Scott asked as he picked Mitch up and set him back down in his lap

"How much is it?" Scott asked as he picked Mitch up and set him back down in his lap.

"Three thousand a week, it has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen." Mitch said while leaning back into Scott's chest.

Scott scrolled through the pictures and the things to do there and grinned, "This one is by far the most beautiful, and there's so much to do here; the view is amazing."

"So can I click rent?" Mitch asked hopefully.

"I can hear my credit card crying already, but go ahead." Scott said as he pulled the card out to enter in the numbers.

"I have a meeting with the Walmart, I'll be back in like an hour." Mitch said as he kissed Scott's cheek.

Mitch closed the door behind him and pulled out his phone to notify Travis that he was on his way.

As soon as he entered the store a few blocks away, he smiled at the familiar face that greeted him at the door.

"Hey Travis!" Mitch smiled as he gave him a small hug, "Long time no see."

They both felt a ping of guilt being around each other since Scott didn't like the idea of them together, but they will be working together soon enough.

"Yeah how have you been?" Travis asked as they walked to the back offices.

"I have been great! Me and Scott are going on vacation really soon and I can't wait!" Mitch said as he smiled fondly.

The two had a quick conversation on their current lives and caught up quite a bit until Mitch's interview was about to start.

Mitch sat down in the hard plastic chair in front of his future boss, "Good afternoon." The boss huffed.

"Good after noon to you too." Mitch replied as his chair squeaked while he adjusted his purse.

"This meeting is just to cover the basics of this job such as the hours, the general area you will be working in, and the pay." The boss started, "The hours are eight to four, I was hoping you could be in the greeting area because you said you worked with little kids prior to this, but any position you could probably fill in for. And the pay is ten dollars an hour."

Mitch nodded his head and raised his eyebrow as he took in the new information.

"You probably knew some of this stuff over the phone call but this is just to finalize it, we also need your social security card and for you to sign a few papers. We also don't need you to start until after the holidays, so you have a few weeks to turn in these papers." The man said as he handed Mitch a stack of papers to take home.

Mitch quietly sighed as he tucked the papers away under his light jacket, "I will get back to you as soon as I can, thank you."

"If you have questions or concerns tell free to give us a call, I will also need your sizes for our uniform early so I can pre order it." The man said as he stood up to escort Mitch out of the room.

Mitch didn't know how the uniforms fitted but every time he saw a Walmart employee their uniforms always looked so tight and uncomfortable, "I'll take a medium." He said, just to be sure.

The man nodded and stuck his hand out for Mitch to shake, "Have a good day Mr. Grassi."

"You too Mr. Mart." Mitch said as he quickly read his name tag and exited the building.

~

"What did you learn?" Scott asked as he confronted Mitch when he returned from the meeting.

"I start after the holidays, I'm a greeter, and my hours are eight to four." Mitch said as he sat down on the chair, mumbling quietly to himself.

Scott gave him a confused look and changed the subject, "The cabin is officially booked, the owners got back to me and said we can have it reserved for next week only."

"Next week? I don't have any time to pack!" Mitch said as he widened his eyes.

"We leave on Saturday, we have six days to get everything ready. Just relax baby, it will all be okay." Scott said while chuckling.

Mitch sighed and looked down at their two kids playing with their Legos on the carpet, "Can we call your mom and ask her if she can watch them?"

Scott pulled out his phone and dialed the numbers quickly while Mitch snuck away to make a phone call of his own.

~

Mitch punched in Travis seven digits and waited for him to answer.

"I'm not on brake right now Mitchy, so make this quick." Travis said as he picked up his phone.

Mitch giggled, "I was just calling to see what your hours are, I have weekdays eight at night to four in the morning."

"One to nine in the evenings."

"So we will have one hour of work together, not bad." Mitch said with a small smile.

"I can't wait until you start, it will make this job a little more bearable. I got to go before the big bad boss sees me slacking, talk to you later."

Before Mitch could say bye the line was already disconnected and he was walking back into the living room.

"Mom can watch the kids that week, she said it's no problem." Scott said as he patted a spot next to him on the couch.

Mitch sat down close to Scott and put his legs across Scott's lap. Scott gripped Mitch's thigh and turned the tv up a little louder.

"I can't wait to spend a week with you in a big cozy cabin." Mitch said as he nudged Scott.

Scott grinned and tightened his grip on Mitch's leg, running his free hand across his back, "As do I, my love."
