It was the day before the competition and Scott and Mitch were nervously practicing their music at the set.

They made it past the behind the scenes audition where the judges review tapes each singers sent in and choose their favorite.

"Are you nervous?" Scott asked while putting his arm around Mitch.

Mitch looked up and smiled, "Yeah, we are going to be on TV tomorrow which is always fun."

Scott chuckled and turned off his microphone, "Not that many people are going to watch it."

This 'TV' show was a new reality a capella singing show that is just testing the waters. Meaning that there weren't going to be a full set of contestants, so the producers can see how well the show goes before continuing to make any more episodes.

"Alright everyone that's a wrap for today!" The director yelled, followed by all the contestants standing up to go to their hotels.

Scott stood up and grabbed Mitch's hand to guide him up, "Let's get some sleep we have a big day tomorrow."

Scott buttoned his shirt and looked over at Mitch who was pulling his skirt down frantically, "We're late!" Mitch yelled.

Scott chuckled and put a hand on Mitch's shoulder, "I set the alarm back an hour because I know how you're always late, so we are right on time."

Mitch paused and smiled slightly, "I don't know if I should be angry or not."

Scott chuckled and sprayed himself with cologne, "You almost ready?"

Mitch picked up his mascara and swiped it over his lashes a few times before meeting eyes with Scott in the mirror, "As ready as I'll ever be."

Scott opened the front door and held it open for Mitch. They walked down to the hotel lobby and got on the first shuttle that took them to the arena that the show was being held at.

They were set to preform in an hour, and they were going second out of the five people competing.

Once they got to the arena they went backstage and staring drinking water to prepare their voices for tonight. They had to get their outfits approved by the tv stations, practice their performance, and go thought where they stood on the stage if they advanced.

"Okay everyone the show starts in 45 minutes and we have a lot to do!" The director said, "This is a mini competition and we aren't expecting a large audience, but it's still important you practice the stage rotations!"

After the director explained the rotations and how everyone is supposed to walk on stage he dismissed everyone to practice and do any final touches.

Eventually people started to fill up the seats, which only made Mitch more nervous, "You'll do fine." Scott assured him.

Mitch was busy biting his nails and staring at the countdown clock that stated they had 10 minutes until the first act was supposed to preform. The show already went on air and was introducing the narrator, and the back stories of each act.

The show was set up so that the audience could text a number to vote for who they wanted to win, so each backstory was trying to reach out to the viewers emotions.

Scott heard their video begin playing and smiled a little. Their video was centered around his music joined the two high school sweethearts and saved their marriage. Mitch grinned when he heard the crowd 'awe' at the cute couple shots they added in.
