Chapter Thirteen

It was Friday at school,and  I saw Joe, Melody , and Devon walking together.

" Hey Holly!" I heard Melody yell.

I smiled as they walked toward me.

" What's with the outfit?" I asked as I looked at Joe and Melody's black outfit. 

" We're doing plan A." Joe whispered.

" Which is......" I asked

" Being Devon's bodyguards and we trap that Smith guy." Joe said clutching is fist.

" Hey Devon, why are you being so quiet?" Melody asked pulling him forward.

Devon and I blushed as I thought about what happened last night.

" Don't tell me you guys are dating!" Melody gasped.

Before Devon can protest, the bell rang for reading / language arts class.

" Who are these people?" Mrs.Blossom asked as she looked at Melody and Joe.

" We're his bodyguards." Joe said in a deep voice.

 Devon and I looked at each other and giggled. Finally, when the bell rang for the next class( Which is science) Devon, Melody ,and Joe were the last one to leave.

" Plan A is ready for action." Joe whispered in his deep voice.

" Joe, you should really leave the deep voice." Melody said shaking her head while I laughed.

" Guys, we're going to be late for class." I warned.

When all of us walked into class, we saw Mr.Smith staring at us.

" Don't make eye contact." I heard Devon whispered over and over again.

" Who are they,Devon?" Mr.Smith asked pointing at Joe and Melody.

" Bodyguards." Joe growled.

All through class, I saw Mr.Smith staring at Devon from time to time. When the bell rang for gym , I felt Devon grab my arm and raced down the hall.

" What was that for?" I asked when the we finally stop running.

" I can't take another minute of that guy watching me!" Joe panted.

" That guy is creepy." Melody confessed..

" He was watching me the whole time!" Devon yelled.

" Anyway, what's this period?" Joe asked ignoring Devon.

" Gym and then lunch." I explained.

At gym, I felt everybody staring at me. I looked at Joe and Melody.

" Can you stop walking beside me?" You're not my bodyguards!" I whispered angrily.

My friends, Maegan and Jackie ran up to me.

" Where's Mikayla?" I asked curiously.

" She's absent." Jackie answered.

"Who are they, Holly?" Maegan asked as she pointed to Joe and Melody.

" Devon's bodyguard. A.K.A, Devon's sister and brother." I explained.

Suddenly Devon walked up to me," I told them to stop following me , but they won't listen." 

At lunch, I sat by Devon and his " bodyguards." 

I looked over at my friends and they gave me a thumbs up.

When the bell rang for next period, which is math class, Devon groaned.

" What?" Joe asked confused.

" Our teacher is Mr.Smith." I whispered.

" I guess we have to do our plan early." Melody said grinning.

" And no, Melody you're not drinking his blood." Joe said rolling his eyes.

" Oh, I'm so excited right now!" Melody said sarcastically as I laughed.

In math class, Mr.Smith was staring at us again like last time. I saw Melody shutter beside me. When the bell rang for school to be out, , Devon and his "bodyguards" waited for all the students to leave.

" Holly, stay." I heard Joe stop me.

" I'll see you tomorrow than." Jackie said waving.

After she left, I groaned and sat back down.

Suddenly I saw Joe slam Mr.Smith against the wall as he held Mr.Smith's throat.
