Chapter Nine

" What's going on" I asked as I held my bleeding finger. 

" Get Holly out of the room, while I control them." I heard Rosaline yell at Andrew.

Andrew rushed to my side within a blink of an eye. He picked me up and ran to the nearest table and  set me down.

I saw Rosaline pushing  Melody, Devon, and another boy outside while they growl and snarl at me.

" What's happening ?" I asked Andrew.

" Well, I guess I have to tell you the truth about our family." Andrew said laughing nervously.

" The truth?" I repeated confused.

“ The truth is our family are vampires." Andrew said murmuring the last word.

Vampires. I thought over and over again as Andrew fixed my finger.

" Don' t you get attracted to the smell of blood?" I asked a little scared.

 " Rosaline and I learn to control ourselves." Andrew said sighing.

That must took a lot of work.I thought. " It must be painful." I said sadly.

Andrew nodded . Suddenly, I thought of the unfamiliar boy standing by Devon earlier.

" Who was that boy a while ago ?" I asked curiously.

Andrew thought for a minute. " Oh, you must be talking about Joe." Andrew said laughing.

Before I can answer, Melody walked in the room.

" Hey Holly, sorry about what happened earlier." Melody said apologetically.

" Its s'Kay." I replied smiling.

" Joe, get in here!' Melody yelled at the door.

The door opened, and a guy with dark brown hair and blue eyes walked in.

" Apologize!" Melody ordered.

" For what?!" Joe yelled.

" Oh , I don't know, you tried to suck her blood and now she knows the family's secret. What can go wrong? " Melody yelled sarcastically.

Joe stared at the ground and whispered " Sorry."

" Where's Devon?" Melody asked looking around the room.

He's outside wimping about what happened." Joe said grinning.

Andrew sighed as he walked to the door. " Hey Melody, take Holly home for me. " Andrew said before closing the door.

"Okie Dokie." Melody sang happily.

As Melody drove the car, I was silent." 

" I'm worried about Devon." Melody said sighing as she broke the awkwardness.

" I won't tell anyone about your secret." I said quickly.

Melody laughed," I know you won't. I was think of Devon and how's he taking all of this."

It's just like the dream had. I thought.

" Dream?" Melody said sudennly 

" What? You can read my thoughts?" I asked surprised.

Melody nodded. " Barely. All I heard was dream." Melody said laughing.

While I explain my dream, she laughed. " Yep, that sounds like either Joe or Devon."

When we finally got to my house, she stopped me while I opened the car door.

" I'm sorry for what happened today." Melody apologized again.

I smiled and said " Don't worry about it."

That night I layed in bed thinking. How am I suppose to live in a world with vampires? I thought that for a few minutes and finally fell asleep.
