The next day at lunch , my friends were talking about having a party.
" what about a slumber party? " Mikayla suggested.
Maegan shook her head. " But, I want a party where I can go crazy! " Maegan said laughing.
Jackie and I both laugh at Maeagan's weird comment.
" No way! Theres Devon! " Jackie squealed.
" And why are you so surprised?" I said rolling my eyes.
" He usually miss lunch." Mikayla explained to me.
" Maybe he's hungry today." I answered shrugging.
" Now's your chance to talk to him." Maegan whispered to me.
" What? Now? " I asked nervously.
" Sure, why not? Why are you so nervous ? It's not like your going to ask him out or anything," Jackie said rolling her eyes.
I sighed and stood up. My friends watched me as I walked toward Devon.
" Hey." I said nervously.
" Hi." Devon said smiling a little.
Suddenly, I felt like the whole cafeteria stopped talking and was and was watching us.
" Um, don't you usually miss lunch? " I asked curiously.
" Yeah, but I felt hungry today." Devon said quickly.
" Oh." I whispered.
After a few minutes of awkwardness, Devon said " Do you want to sit by me?" he asked nervously.
" Um." I quickly looked at my friends while they shot me a thumbs up. And Maegan was nodding her head like crazy. " Sure." I finally said smiling.
As Devon led me to his table, I saw Emily and her friends ( some of the girls who tried to threaten me in the locker room a few days ago.) staring at me. They were all giving me a glare that kinda looked like a " you're dead." stare. I laughed and stuck out my tongue at them
