" You look horrible today." Mikayla said as I sat by her at lunch.
" I know. I didn't sleep that well last night ." I said laughing.
" Did you hear about the new student , Devon Hollister?" Jackie shouted excitedly .
" Oh yeah , the new guy?" Maegan asked laughing.
" I hear he's H-O-T, hot! " Mikayla squealed.
" Holly is soo lucky she gets to sit by him !" Jackie said sighing.
" I'm not sure you should call it lucky ." I said frowning.
" Why?" Maegan asked curiously.
" He'd been giving me the evil eye since he walked in the classroom." I said almost hitting my head on the lunch table.
" But he doesn't sound like that kind of guy." Mikayla said frowning.
"Yeah, then I heard there was a cat fight in the locker room." Jackie reminded me.
" Well, that's true. Those girls try to threaten me." I said rolling my eyes.
" I guess you're not so lucky after all." Maegan said giggling.
We all laugh for a minute and then the bell rang for the next class, which is science.
As I walked to my class , I saw Devon going the same way I was going.
" Oh my gosh,Devon is in our science class! " Jackie squealed.
" I wonder if he's going to sit by me again." I said shaking my head.
" Well, you're the only one in the class who doesn't have a partner." Jackie said smirking."
" Good point." I said laughing.
Jackie was right. In science class, right after the teacher introduce Devon to the whole class, he ended up sitting by me again.
