Chapter Twenty

Tuesday morning while I walked to school, I keep thinking about the boy with the skull mark on his face. 

" Why was that boy outside my window?" I asked myself cautiously.

" Holly!" Devon yelled as he ran up to me.

" Hey Devon." I said faking a smile.

" I called your name like twenty times. Is there something wrong?" Devon asked, his face turning serious.

I shook my head. 

" Alright then, Lets go! Class is about to start!" Devon said grabbing my hand, running into the school.

During first period ( Mrs.Blossom's class) a new student was introduced.

" Class, a new student will be joining our class today. His name is Josh Danielle. Please treat him with respect." Mrs.Blossom said happily.

 While Mrs.Blossom introduced the whole class,  the girls started giggling and talking like crazy and guys, stared at the new kid with jealously.

This is like when Devon first came here. I thought giggling.

When Mrs.Blossom introduced me, Josh, stepped in front of my desk and stared at me. Devon stared at him and growled silently at him. In Mr.Smith's class, when Josh came in the room before Devon did, Josh sat in Devon's desk. (Which is beside me.)

" Get out of my seat." Devon growled at Josh.

" But i want to sit next to Holly." Josh said innocently.

Mr.Smith sighed," Devon sit next to Jackie and let Josh sit there for today."

Devon glared at Josh while Josh smiled sweetly at him.

While Mr.Smith took attendance, Josh kept staring at me.

" Um, do you need something?" I asked Josh, confused.

Josh shook his head and smiled," Nope." 

" Today we'll be doing a project with the person beside you." Mr.Smith explained the rules and directions about the project.

I slowly turn my head toward Josh and no surprise, he was staring at me.As we started the project, Josh was very helpful and he was funny. I keep feeling a death stare and i saw Devon staring at me with protective eyes. When the bell rang rang for gym, Mr.Smith told us that it's our homework to finish the project.

As i waited for Devon, Josh went up to me and whispered," I"ll get your number later and we can call each other or meet up to finish our project." 

As he walked away, Devon walked up to me and growled," We need to talk." 

Before he can grab my hand and walk away with me, my friends, Mikayla, Jackie, and Maegan dragged me to gym. 

"That was a close one." Maegan said sighing with relief.

" He was staring at you all through science class, while you did your project with Josh." Jackie said grinning.

" I smell jealously.." Mikayla said laughing.

" Your lucky Devon doesn't go to gym." Jackie said with relief.

" Oh my gosh! Look how hot Josh is!" Mikayla squealed. 

" I dare you to scream his name and tell him you like him." Maegan said grinning.

" Deal." Mikayla said grinning mischievously.

While Maegan, Jackie, and I watch interested, Mikayla waved and yelled," Hey Josh!" 

" That was so not the deal." Maegan said shaking his head.

" He's coming this way!" Mikayla squealed, jumping up and down.

" Hey Holly." Josh said smiling sweetly. 

" Hey Josh ." I said smiling back.

" Are they your friends?" Josh asked looking at Mikayla, Jackie , and Maegan.

I nodded as I introduced them.

" I'm the girl who yelled your name!" Mikayla squealed.

Josh stared at her and smiled and nodded, looking a little creeped out.

" Mikayla, you're creeping him out." I said laughing.

" Let's go Mikayla. Lets leave them alone now." Jackie said dragging her away and winked at me as Maegan followed.

" Why?" Mikayla screamed sadly.

I rolled my eyes and laughed as I watch them leave.

" Hey Josh, are you in gym from now on?" I asked curiously.

Josh nodded," I was thinking joining band, but I don't know how to play any kind of music. And I get to see you here." 

Josh smiled his sweet smile as I blush.

During lunch, Josh sat at our table.

" What is he doing here?" Devon growled.

Maegan laughed," Jealous much?" 

Devon shook his head," Yeah right." 

" It's okay. It's just for today." I said hopefully.

" But he's taking my seat!" Devon yelled.

" I like sitting next to Holly." Josh said honestly.

At lunch, Devon always sit right next to me. But today, Josh took his seat and he was making Devin jealous.

" Hey Josh, can we talk for a minute outside?" Devon asked Josh, faking a smile.

" But I-" Josh started to say, but Devon grabbed his hand and dragged him outside.

" I want to see what they're talking about." Mikayla squealed and jumped up running after Devon and Josh.

" Let's go." Maegan and Jackie grabbed each of my hand and dragged me outside.

" I feel like a stalker." I whispered sighing.

We were hiding behind a shed where we can hear what Devon and Josh were talking about.

*Devon's P.O.V*

 " Stop hanging around with Holly!" I yelled.

" Why not?" Josh asked confused.

" Because she's dating me!" I yelled furiously.

" But I like her too." Josh said honestly.

I started growling and i can feel my fangs growing.

*Holly's P.O.V*

Oh no! Devon is about to turn into a vampire! I thought panicking.

" What's going on with Devon?" Maegan asked confused.

"N-Nothing!" I said panicking as I tried to push my friends back to the cafeteria.

Once they were gone, I ran to Devon and Josh.

" Devon, stop!" I yelled as I pulled him back.

" Sorry Josh, can you leave us alone for a minute?" I asked faking a smile.

Before Josh can say anything, I dragged Devon to a janitor's closet, leaving Josh with a stunned look on his face.

In the janitor's closet, I waited until Devon calmed down before I talked to him.

" What were you thinking?" I yelled after Devon calmed down.

" I got a little jealous, okay?" Devon said embarrassed.

" A little? You were about to kill him!" I argued.

" I'm sorry." Devon said apologetically.

I sighed as I sat down beside Devon.

" Don't do that anymore." I said seriously.

 " So you forgive me?" He asked hopefully.

I nodded as I kissed him.

Suddenly the door opened and the janitor stepped in.

" Uh, am I interrupting something?" The janitor asked.
