Chapter Eleven

I met up with Joe at the park a few hours later.

" Nice to see you again, Holly." Joe said smiling.

I smiled," Why did you ask me to come here?"

Joe sighed softly," Do you know why Devon is not at school today?"

I shook me head.

" It was really sunny this morning, remember?" Joe reminded me as he looked at the sky.

" Does Your skin look like Edwards, when he steps in to the sun, in the movie Twilight ?" I asked excitedly.

Joe laughed," No, that's just made up stuff." 

I frowned.

" But," Joe continued " We do burn up when we get near sunlight."

I looked up at the sky. It was dark and cloudy like it was going to rain.

" Oh, I thought he was still worried about what happened Friday." I said sighing with relief

Joe laughed," That was a few days ago."

" Are there werewolves?" I blurted out excitedly.

Joe frowned, " Are you still thinking about Twilight, Holly?"

I blushed.

" Oh, and Holly, sorry you didn't start on your project last time." Joe said apologetically.

I smiled," It's due in two weeks."  " I got a question,Joe." I said softly.

Joe smiled," Hit me."

 " What doyou and Devon do when it's sunny outside?" I asked curiously.

" We often hunt animals while we were dark clothing covering our skin, and sometimes we relax." Joe eplained.

I groaned. " Lucky, I have to do homework 24/7."

Joe laughed. Before he can tease me, I felt rain coming down.

" Run to my car!" Joe yelled.

After we were in Joe's car, he drove me to his house."

" After the rain stops, I'll take you home." Joe said smiling as he opened his front door for me.

I nodded as I walked in his house, and I saw Devon and Melody playing video games.

" You're going to be died!" Melody growled as she stood up still playing fiercely.

Devon laughed," In your dreams."

Suddenly I remembered the note Mr.Smith gave me in class. I ran up to Devon and handed him it.

" What are you doing here?" Devon looked at me surprised.

" Never mind that, open the note." I said still holding the note.

" Ohhh Devon, it might be a love letter." Melody said smirking.

Devon and I blushed.

" W-Who is it from?" Devon asked, ignoring Melody.

" Mr.Smith." I said frowning.

I sat down beside him as he opened it.

I gasped. I heard Devon, Melody , and Joe growled.

The note read...    I know your secret.
