She's The Only One That Gets Me (A Rilaya Story ♡)

Chapter 1.

Riley's POV
*yawns* ah. Time for school but first breakfast with the fam and Maya. I haven't told anybody yet but I've been feeling different lately about Maya, not a bad different but just a really different feeling. I got a
similar feeling when I first started liking Lucas but it feels more deeper than that. I don't know what it is but I think I like her more than a friend but you know what they say, maybe it's just a phase so let me stop thinking so much and go eat breakfast.

Maya: Hey Riles
Riley: Hey... you *laughs weirdly*
Maya: Um okay, you ready to go?
Riley: Oh right, I didn't realize how long I took getting ready. I'll just grab a bagel and we can go
Maya: Okay cool.

Riley's POV
So we finally get to school, hopefully I can focus in class because this morning was so weird. Maya and I say hi to Farkle, Lucas and Zay when we get to class and talk about the last episode of Red Planet Diaries. I wonder what today's lesson will be, Can you imagine if my dad knew how I was feeling, that'd be an interesting and actually, helpful lesson because I have no idea what my brain is doing today.

Hello Class! Before Today's lesson I just wanted to talk to you guys for a second.

Now I know you're growing up and you're starting to feel different things and that's just a part of life. Wow I can't believe I just said that.. Anyway just know that it's normal and it'll be okay and I'm always here if you need to talk. Now let's begin the lesson.

Riley's POV.
The day goes on and the gang and I are going to our favorite hang out place. I still feel the same but it's calmed down a bit. I still can't stop thinking though.
Farkle: RILEY! RILEY!
Riley: I'm sorry what?
Farkle: What is up with you today? You keep blanking out and you don't seem like yourself, are you okay?
Riley: Yeah Farkle, I'm fine. I'm just really confused about some things and it's gonna take some time for me to open up about it. Is that okay?
Farkle: Of course Riley. Just know I'm here, the second you are ready to talk about it.
Riley: Thank you, I will.

Riley's POV.
IM HOME!! Finally, I can take a nap and get my mind off things for a little while. Wait.. I just remembered I'm supposed to do my homework with Maya and she's gonna be over in 15 minutes. I really need to stop thinking so much, things won't change unless I make them awkward. She's my bestfriend and above that, my favorite person in the whole world. Nothing should ever be awkward between us. This is just a phase, a normal teenager phase! It's all fine.
*door bell rings*

Maya: Hey!
Riley: Hi! You uh ready to work?
Maya: Haha Riley you know I never work when I first get to your house. What's up with you?
Riley: Nothing! I knew that haha um what do we do then?
Maya: Riles, we sit in the Bay window and talk about our day.. remember?
Riley: Oh right of course um okay
Maya: and maybe we should talk about why you're being so weird today. I know you better than anyone else in the world and I know when something's not okay, talk to me.
Riley: I.. wish I could explain it to you but I don't even know how to explain it to myself.
Maya: Try me.
Riley: I think I like someone and it's not Lucas and it's not another boy...
Maya: Oh. Well is it a girl?
Riley: Yes.
Maya: Wow well who's the girl?
Riley: I don't know I think maybe the girl is you.
