Chapter 17.

Sunday, 8:00am.
Riley's POV.
As I look at Maya sound asleep, I realize something. Even though I'm not sure what I want to do with my life and even though I'm not really sure who I am yet.. There's one thing I'm sure of and that's Maya. When I think about my future, I see her and to be honest, that's enough for me. My dad once told me about how he felt about my mom at my age and that's all I can think about now. If they were so sure about each other at such a young age, can't I think the same?

As the day goes on, Maya and Riley go out for some ice cream. Of course it was Riley's idea to get ice cream for breakfast. Riley gets chocolate and Maya gets vanilla. Ever since they were little, Riley would always get chocolate and Maya would always get vanilla. Some things never change huh?

Maya: You wanna eat here or you wanna walk and eat?
Riley: Let's eat here, I don't wanna go back home yet plus I wanted to talk to you.
Maya: Okay, what's up?
Riley: Well, you know how we were calling our relationship um.... not a relationship?
Maya: Yeah.
Riley: How about we go back to being a regular couple, you know? No more hiding anything.
Maya: Riley.
Riley: What?
Maya: I'm tired of going back and forth.
Riley: What do you mean?
Maya: From the beginning, I always wanted to be with you. It didn't matter what anyone else thought.
Riley: And I wanted to be with you too. I just was scared. I've explained that so many times Maya.
Maya: Yeah I know. I'm sorry but this is hard for me too.
Riley: Listen, I would apologize for not being sure of who I am but if I'm being honest, I'm not sorry. I admit, I wasn't sure of my sexuality. Maybe you know who you are Maya, but I don't and I'm fine with that! The one thing I am sure of is how I feel about you and that's why I don't care anymore, I don't care what anyone has to say and I know the past few months I've been saying that but this is the first time that I've actually meant it. When we first started dating, I knew that you were the only one for me and as cheesy as that sounds, I mean it. I love you Maya, as my bestfriend and my girlfriend. I love you so much that I want everyone to know.... without sounding cheesy of course because I know you hate cheesy.
Maya: Riley, I love cheesy more than anything when it's you saying cheesy things and I love you too, more than anything in this world.
Riley: The world is pretty big
Maya: Yes but I don't care how big it is, as long as I have you in mine
Riley: Aw you're cute, who's cheesy now?
Maya: Shut up and kiss me
Riley: Not with that tone!

As Riley pouts, Maya smiles and kisses her. Riley kisses back and obviously fails miserably at acting mad at Maya. Maya puts her arm around her as they walk home. 

"Hey, You wanna go to Topanga's for a bit before we go back to your house?" Maya asks.

"Yeah sure, maybe our friends are there. I feel like
I haven't seen them in forever."

"Me too, I think we've been too busy with each other." Maya says, realizing something.

"Oh my god. We're that couple." Riley responds.

"Oh no. We are. We've really turned into the couple that is so caught up with each other, we don't hang out with our friends anymore."

"You know what's funny? We literally said this was a "no label relationship" so that there wouldn't be any pressure and it turns out, We became even more closer and we've barely left each other's side. Riley says, laughing.

"Wow you're right. I can't even remember the last time I was home."

"Aw, you should go hang out with your mom today. She probably misses you a ton."
