Chapter 3

The next morning I woke up, went down stairs and sat in the booth staring at the floor, with my head resting on the counter.

“So, how are you?” That pleasant voice said.

“OH!” I squealed, “What the heck?! Where are my mom and dad?! GARRETT?! Why the heck are YOU here!?!”

He laughed, I was so happy I wore my rob cause all I had underneath was a tank top and underwear.

“Don’t worry, they went out to breakfast. They didn’t want to wake you up.” He replied with a smile.

“Well, why are you here?” I questioned him.

“They told me that if you woke up that I should tell you where they went.” He starred at me laughing.

I took a breath to steady myself and was surprised to smell eggs and bacon with some hash browns being fried next to the rest of the food. I looked up and saw that he as wearing Ria’s normal apron and I laughed.

“What you laughing at?” he said confused.

“The apron. It says ‘what’s cooking, good looking?’” I laughed even harder.

He laughed too.

“Well, it was either this or the one with pink hearts that said ‘What’s up sexy’“ He laughed as I joined in.

He gave me an omelet filled with cheddar cheese and chopped pieces of bacon with a hash brown on the side with orange juice. He sat down next to me and had the same thing.

When we were finished he took my plate and washed it off. While he did that I went up to my room and changed into a white see through shirt with a hot pink spaghetti strap underneath and jean shorts. I went back down stairs and saw that he was done washing dishes. Having my heart sink because I didn’t want him to go, I offered to do one of the *neat* things in my house. We decided to go swimming after we went ice skating then after doing those we would watch a movie in my theater.

I got on the ice really easily and started going around when I realized I was alone. Garrett on the other hand was holding on to the wall, more or less clinging to the wall. I laughed and skated over to him to help. I held out my hand and said to not be scared, I would help him. After an hour we decided to go swimming. With this Garrett did know what to do. He was even faster than me!

“How do you go so fast?!” I said bewildered.

“Well, I took swimming lessons and I’m a life guard, part time during the summer.” He said floating in the water.

“Hmm, that’s interesting. I went to the pool with a party of girls for my birthday. And you weren’t there…” I trailed off because of his look on his beautifully, gorgeous face.

“What’s wrong, Katie? Are you okay?” he asked worried.

“No, no I’m fine.” I laughed

“Oh, so you are happy?” he smiled with a small smile.

“Yes, I’m happy.” I smiled back.

“Good, cause you won’t be when I do this!” He smiles even bigger.

I starred at him, thinking I knew what he was about to do. So I started to get up.

“Oh, no you wouldn’t!” I said strictly he got out of the pool.

“Your right I won’t do it that way. You could get hurt.” He laughed.

“What do you mean won’t?” I asked him, warned.

I put on my vampire guard, incase of an attack even though I knew he couldn’t hurt me.

“I mean THIS!! Haha!” he laughed so hard.

He ran toward me and I screamed, as he picked me up in his 2 strong arms and then jumped into the water. I shrieked and kicked and screamed!

“PUT ME DOWN!!!” I shrieked.

“No!” he screamed back, and suddenly we were under water.

We both couldn’t touch so that would mean that meant we were in the deep end, in the twelve foot. We swam around for a second trying to get back on our sides. He starred at me and I starred back until my dumb checks got read by the blush that spread across my face. He smiled and held out his hand and invited me to take his hand. I took it his out held hand and he pulled me in close enough that I touch his face with out having to raise my hand. OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! What do I do?! Okay, okay, okay…calm down…
