Chapter 11
It was silent as I sat in the car with him, alone. Really alone. I liked it but it was still a first for me. Unlike him I was uncomfortable with becoming so quiet.
“So, why didn’t Andrew and Liz come with us in this car again, if we are going somewhere else? I mean, I don’t care they could have come since Addie is going home.” I asked curious enough to be noisy.
He smiled and picked up my hand with his right hand and said,
“Because we are going somewhere to be together and I asked her to go with Addie and I know that if Liz goes Andrew of course is going to follow.”
He smiled again and watched the sunrise turn from purple to orange to a beautiful sunrise blue. I could see where we were but not exactly known where we were. I could see seagulls and a big town and at a distance I could see the sun rising over waves. The ocean? What in the world, I wanted to ask but I held my tongue.
He turned on the radio and heard my favorite song, Lady Antebellum, ‘American Honey’. I started to sing along and he looked over and smiled and shook his head.
“Am I doing something wrong?” I asked smiling back.
“No I am just surprised to find out you like country music.” He answered with a soft smile.
“I like country but I love this band. It is one of my favorites.” I answered singing along.
He smiled and start to sing along as well, only his voice was lower and much funnier to listen to as he tried to hit the higher notes. I laughed and he rolled down the windows. I laughed even harder and stated to sing louder. He laughed an we continued sown the high way and I glanced around at once to see, a bag on the back seat, full, and a large beach or pool looking ball laying flat on top of the bag. Something caught my eye and I saw that we where in an Italian, sports car. the color of a blue, navy blue. I asked again in the comfortable leather seat.
“Where are we going?” I asked irritated.
He laughed,
“Well, we are still in California and we are going to stay in California.” He answered not giving me a clue as to where.
“Fine…” I sighed dramatically.

I look at her as she smiles in her sleep. So content and relaxed. So lovely and loving, so sweet. I felt my face go red, I laugh at myself.
She is mine. And I am hers. And I LOVE that FACT!
I hope she like where I am taking her… I think so but I hope she has a good enough even with me. I keep telling myself that she will.
I pick up her hand again and hold it in mine. I pull into the drive way and park the car. I get out of the car and sling the bag over one shoulder then open her door, and unbuckle her from the seat. And scooped her up easily and carefully holding her tightly against my chest while I walked up to the front door. All of the sudden she moved her hand unconsciously to my chest and then mumbled,
“Garrett…hmm” her soft voice sighing.
I opened the door and then laid her bag down on the floor and walked carefully up to the second floor. I opened up the guest room and laid her down on the bed with her over the comforter. I took her shoes off then I went to my mom’s room and put a light blanket over her. I looked at her then swept her hair off of her face. I am so lucky, and I can’t wait to start my life with her. I told myself, and then I bent over and kissed her on her forehead. Then I left the room.
