Chapter 18

Hope Has Returned Chapter 18 (Harry's POV)

+++time skip 2 weeks+++

I woke to voices talking around me. I decided to fake sleep so I could eavesdrop. So I listened hard.
"-if he doesn't wake up soon we will have to move him back to a public room bec-" a think a Healer said.
"We that's absurd! He has heart cancer and doesn't have half his heart! And to add to that he usually screams in his sleep awake or not! I require him to stay in this private room!" an angry Mr. Weasley and Uncle Vernon. Wait a second? Why do I hear my uncle? I'll worry about that later. Then Ron spoke up.
"I know he's been out for 2 weeks-" 2 weeks?! "-but he is the wizard who saved the wizarding world from you-know-who."
"A point yet again." The angry Healer replied.
"I will go down to that wizard bank and get Galleons to pay for him to keep this room!" Aunt Petunia said angrily. Just then someone burst through the door in what I would say maybe high heels.
"Ohhhhhhh he looks horrible!" I heard Ginny's voice say. Then I felt her hands on my face and her forehead on mine.
"Wake up baby please! I love you and I know you love me because you've been muttering my name for the past few days in your coma." Wow a coma?!
"Please wake up soon. You look miserable with those tubes coming in and out of everywhere! Wake up! Please Harry! Please wake up!" and then all I heard was crying. Then I felt tears on my face. It took everything in my power to not move and comfort her.
"Pl-ee-ase Harry wake up. We need you. I need you. Please!"
"Ginny tell him what has happened at the Burrow" Mr. Weasley said with a sad tone.
"Fred's funeral and everyone else's. I need you there. I've had to cry on George's shoulder because you weren't there." I felt more tears on my face.
"Please wake up!" and then she kissed me and I couldn't help myself but kiss back. She pulled away shocked.
"He-he-he just kissed me back!" she said.
"I highly dou-" but I cut the Healer off.
"She's damn right!" was all I said with a smile and then I opened my eyes. Then the room was filled with screaming!
"HARRY YOU'RE AWAKE! I'M GOING TO APPERATE TO THE BURROW AND TELL THEM THE GOOD NEWS!" and Mr. Weasley said and disappeared on the spot. My aunt and uncle came over and hugged me then they went down to the tea room to tell Dudley. It was just me and Ginny left in the room.
"How much did you hear?" she asked
"All of it." I replied them I patted my bed and moved over.
"Oh okay." She said and came and sat down next to me. Then she kissed me and I kissed back as much as my body allowed without it hurting so it wasn't much.
"Oi he has been up for a half hour and has spent 20 minutes of it snogging you!" Ron yelled angrily at Ginny.
"Hey!" I said moving my arm across her body and then wincing in pain I dropped my arm.
"Wow mate sorry I didn't know how much pain you are in because of me." He then came and hugged me and I had to cry out in pain.
"Owwwwwww"
"Sorry mate!" he said looking worried.
"It's okay"
"Ya surrrreee it is." He said with a laugh. I then turned toward Mrs. Weasley.
"I'm sorry I missed Fred's funeral." I said in the saddest and hopeless tone I could muster.
"It's okay I'm sure he understands." She said with tears in her eyes.
"Oh can someone catch me up on what I've missed in the last 2 weeks while I apparently was in a coma?"
"Yes. Well to start you put yourself into a coma because when you blacked out you hit you're head very hard. Then up in till yesterday you showed no signs of life. The first sign was when you muttered 'Love Ginny' and we all had a laugh about that one. Then today you woke up when Ginny kissed you." Mrs. Weasley finished.
"Well I technically woke up when the Healer was explaining that I wouldn't be able to stay in this room but I couldn't help myself but kiss Ginny back when I was ermm eavesdropping." I said looking at my feet.
"Well during your slumber they took out the tumor in your heart so your cancer is cured!"
"OH MY GOD YES! THIS IS AWESOME!" And with all of my excitement I grabbed Ginny from my side and kissed her. She looked taken aback but kissed back.
"Umm sorry" I said putting Ginny back next to me.
"That's okay you need to celebrate the fact that it's only a month of physical treatment and you're out of here!" Mrs. Weasley said looking taken aback with me snogging Ginny in front of everyone. Ginny looked at me and said.
"In that case-" and she kissed me hard on the lips. After a few minutes she put her hands around my neck so I put my hands on her waist. We continued for another few minutes when Ron grabbed Hermione and walked out.
"Don't-leave-forever-mate!" I yelled with Ginny kissing me in between each word. We just snogged and snogged in till my aunt, uncle, and Dudley came up to see me intertwined with a girl. Dudley looked down at his feet and then looked me straight in my eyes and said.
"Wait a second isn't that girl you're rapped up in your best mates SISTER!"
"Umm-yea" I replied with Ginny kissing all over my face.
"Unbelievable!" he said shaking his head and he grabbed my aunt and uncle and said.
"Harry is chasing the girl of his dreams he told me all about her last summer so it's time to go." I blushed because I did tell Dudley about how I hated to break it off with Ginny and about her features in her loving face and for once he listened. He then told me all about this one girl and I listened. For that one moment it felt like we were related and close. Ginny pulled back and smiled at me and whispered 'always' in my ear and continued kissing. I looked around and no one was in the room so I laid down and patted the one place were there was no tubes on my chest for her to lay down. She laid down and we fell asleep like that.
