Chapter 33

Hope Has Returned Chapter 33 (Harry's POV)

It was finally time for those who left for Easter to come back. I was waiting in Hogsmead for Ron, Ginny, and Hermione to get back. The scarlet train pulled into the station. Lots of people got out but I saw no red hair. Just then someone jumped onto my back and my face was covered in red hair.

"I read your letter but didn't no how to respond and so did Ron and Hermione." Ginny whispered in my ear. I smiled and looked up at her.

"I understand" I said back to her. Then Ron and Hermione came running past us to get to the carriages. I looked at her and she nodded. We ran after them. After dinner we all sat down on the couch.

"Sorry guys I just nee-" but Ginny cut me off by jumping on me and kissing me. I kissed her back. Ron and Hermione got up and went to their dorms. Ginny and I fell asleep on the couch again. The next morning we woke up to Ron flicking our foreheads.

"Time to go to school!" he said.

"What about food?" Ginny asked.

"To late to grab anything so I guess just grab your books and change."

"Okay" and she got up off of me. I checked my schedule. I had first period free so I got dressed and studied. My NEWTS are coming up. Ron was next to me playing with a quill and Hermione was at Ancient Runes.

"You are turning into Hermione Harry!" Ron said when I had not talked for 10 minutes and was only reading.

"Yeah, I really want to be an auror so I have to get E's or O's to get the job on all the tests." I said not looking up from my book.

"But you defeated Riddle!"

"Still I want to get in because of my grades and not what I had to do."

"Have it your way!" and Ron then picked up his bag and flicked me.

"Potions in five" Ron said and grabbed my book and put it in my bag. We walked to Potions together. I wasn't really listening because I was wondering about certain things.

"Earth to Harry!" he said waving a hand in front of my face.

"Oi sorry I was just thinking about everything we've done with Hermione the last 8 years." I said because I was.

"Like what?"

"The troll, secret trapdoor, fluffy, chamber, Hogsmead, Sirius, Peter, Triwizard Tournament, DA, quittage, Department Of Mysteries, Half-blood Prince, horcruxes, second wizarding war, my heart, and well Hogwarts." Once I finished we got to the door. Everyone was out there.

"What-" Ron started but I looked up. Their was a dragon on the roof looking down at us. Everyone saw me and pushed in front.

"Why me?" I asked looking at everyone. I got an answer of 'gringotts' and 'Triwizard Tournament'. I sighed I looked up at it and pointed my wand at it.

"Diffendo" I said pointing at its eye. It shot it in the eye and then I blew fire at me so I dodged it. I then made a partrounas and had it send a message to Charlie and The Order. Once it flew away I looked back up at the dragon. I grabbed the chain and climbed it. I got on its back and then made it fly away from the school.

"ONCE I GET OVER THE LAKE I'LL JUMP OFF!" I yelled to the school. I got an answer of 'okay' loudly. I was flying on a dragon again. In one year I flew on a dragon twice. We got over the lake so I jumped. I looked at the dragon and it was being captured by the aurors, the Order, and Charlie. I then positioned my self to dive into the lake. I landed sort of well and then I swam to the edge. I walked back to Potions soaking wet. When I got in the classroom everyone was staring at the door. When I walked in everyone hugged me. They backed up when they realized I was wet. I sat down in between Ron and Hermione.

"Nice job riding it" Ron whispered out the side of his mouth.

"I thought so and once I jumped into the lake aurors, the Order, and Charlie were there capturing the dragon." I whispered back. We were quiet for the rest of the lesson. I walked to lunch still soaked. When Ron, Hermione, and I walked into lunch I was hugged by everyone. Well everyone but the Slytherins. Draco hugged me though. I sat down and was immediately surrounded by girls. I shooed them off just as Ginny walked in. She sat down next to me and kissed me on the cheek.

"During Care of Magical Creatures we saw the dragon fly toward the dungeons. Then after 10 minutes of Hagrid talking about dragons and how to defeat them we saw you flying above us on it. Hagrid saw you and said 'that's a different way to do it'. Then we saw you jump off and dive into the water." She said while I ate. I laughed because I do have I different way if doing things. Then about 10 aurors and the head of auror office Kingsely walked in.

"Where is Mr. Potter?" they asked in perfect sync. Everyone pointed at me.

"Come now Mr. Potter hurry up!" they said in sync again very creepily. I got up and walked over to where they were standing.

"Yes what can I help you with?" I asked

"Harry follow us" Kingsely said waving me into the hallway. We walked passed lots of paintings staring at us as we walked.

"Now Harry we've all been looking for an opportunity for you to join us in the auror business for awhile. We all know that you had to defeat Voldemort so we needed another reason. We took defeating Voldemort as one reason. Also the fact that you imprisoned a lot of Death Eaters in your fifth year. We took that as another. In you're forth you did the Triwizard Tournament so that was another. Same as saving the stone, finding the chamber, and whatever else you did. Now you just flew a dragon and dove a good 100 feet into water. Once you get out of school if your grades are at least passing grades in all auror subjects, you can be an auror. What do you say?" Kingsely asked.

"Yes! I'd love too!" I said so happy.

"Well then Mr. Potter see you soon." he said and he and all the aurors walked away. I ran back to the Great Hall very happy. I sat down in my seat and couldn't stop smiling. I told all my friends what they said. I got and answer of 'holy crap' and 'that's great' from Ron and Hermione. My answer from Ginny was a kiss on the lips.

(Ron's POV)

Harry is going to be an auror. He always has a way to charm everyone around him. Grrrr why does he always sort of gets what he want. Now it is my goal to be an auror.
