Chapter 11
The jaunt to the forest seemed foreboding with its seemingly impassable and towering archaic trees. It felt as if the sun could not penetrate through its thick masses and that the entire place looked like a scene straight out of the horror movie Wrong Turn.
Wordlessly, she held my hand and led me into the forest. For once, my trepidations melted away at the mere contact of her electrifying warm hand. We walked further and deeper, and she stopped walking to give me a dimpled smile. I was star struck! From the horror movie vibe, I remembered a romantic scene from the movie Pride and Prejudice — I was Elizabeth and Gabby was my Mr. Darcy. I mentally laughed at the foolishness of my thoughts; I guessed I was going crazy — was this how it felt to be in love?
“Why are you smiling?”
I stiffened and my face reddened. “Uhm… I just remember something… Ah… It’s nothing."
An arrogant smirk climbed up to her lips as she eyed me skeptically. “Really?”
“Really — of course!”
She clucked her tongue and slowly shook her head. “Here I am thinking that my gorgeous smile has taken your breath away because suddenly you seem struck to paralysis like a statue. But really, sweetheart, you don’t have to deny it nor sound so defensive. I don't blame you for feeling that way to me.”
My heart danced a merry tango when she called me sweetheart but it was offset by her unbelievable arrogance. My eyes were probably bulging with irritation and my nose had probably smoke coming off but I couldn't stop myself from blurting out, “Of all the arrogant and assuming—”
Gabby suddenly pulled me, her other hand on my nape, and kissed my words away. It was a forceful kiss but it wasn't hard nor punishing. It felt good and it tasted sweet like candies, its sweetness intensified the moment that she slithered her tongue inside my mouth. My heart’s rate doubled, no tripled, until I couldn’t gauge just how fast it went to. Her hand still held my hand but the one that was palming my nape, slowly moved seductively around my body.
My eyes were still closed when she released me but it barely felt as if she stopped kissing me as her heavy and sweet breaths fanned my lips.
“Ashley, please be quiet.” She beseeched me, her breathing staggered.
I opened my eyes and saw the thick desire swirling in her moonstone eyes. When the haze of her kiss slipped off, my cantankerous self came back and I distanced myself from her. “And I’m the one who is noisy now?”
Gabby merely smirked and nodded.
“What do you call yourself then?” I asked angrily. Gosh, she could be so irritating!
Gabby gave me an intense stare before pulling me by the waist. The top part of my breasts connected with the lower curve of her soft breasts. My body heat climbed up and I could barely stop the redness from climbing from my neck to my face. God! Even stiffling my moan from coming out of my mouth seemed like an onerous task.
“If you continue to blabber, I swear I will re-think my plan of bringing you to our original destination. I am going to make love to you here, on the forest floor. And, when that happens, I doubt if I will still have the will to bring you back to your school before your class starts.”
A heavy lump suddenly halted me from speaking further. No doubt that Gabby’s calm yet threatening words had petrified me but a stubborn part of me seemed excited at the thought — so excited that I could feel the rising my body’s temperature and skin’s gooseflesh. How could she make my entire body shiver without doing anything but just speak?
