*Before Serena’s meltdown*

          When I woke up I was engulfed in Xavier. His arms were wrapped around me, holding me close to his body, and his head was resting on my shoulder. He looked so cute when he was asleep.

          Wait. Did I just say he looked cute? Whatever I’m not afraid to admit it.

          I slowly wiggle out of his arms and tiptoe to the bathroom to take a shower. I grab a towel from the closet and went into the bathroom. The bathroom is as big as his room. There is a gigantic bathtub and an average size shower with a sink that’s about a few yards long.

          I turn on the water to hot and slip out of my nightwear, hence my bra and panties, and step into the amazing warm water that calms all my muscles. I felt relaxed and peaceful when a large bang interrupted my thoughts.

          “Ava why are you taking a shower without me?” Xavier says teasingly from the other side of the door.

          I clean myself off quickly because knowing Xavier he’ll barge through the door and take me. I step out and wrap a towel around me as the door opened.

          In a rush I was being held up by Xavier and he was looking into my eyes. As his gaze travels down my body I can see his eyes start to glow in wanting. When he met my gaze again he smiled and started kissing my neck. Oh God it felt so good!

          “Can you take off your towel for me?” he says while kissing my neck.

          I laugh, “Not a chance a babe.”

          I heard him growl before my towel my ripped from my grasp. I yelped then covered myself but I was already covered by his body. I felt pissed that he betrayed my decision about not showing him my body but the mad feeling subsided.

          He laughed, “Don’t be mad at me baby; you know you can’t hold a grudge against me.”

          I stare at him and was about to say something when he crashed his lips to mine. I instantly wrapped my arms around his neck and he held me tighter against the wall. At this point I didn’t care if I was fully naked. At least he was clothed or I would be in trouble.

          Then a repeated banging interrupted our make-out session. Xavier growled and walked out, shutting the door behind him. I quickly wrapped the towel back around myself just in time for Serena to scream my name. I open the door and see Xavier talking to Serena.

          “No you’re not!” Xavier yells behind me.       

          Serena turn to him, “Why the hell not?”

          “Because Ava is my mate and you will not take her away from me after I found her. I’ve been looking for my mate since I graduated high school which was five years ago. She will not leave me!”

          His last words of pleading cut my heart in two. I will never leave him in the end. If Serena wanted to leave I couldn’t leave my mate. I loved Xavier even though I didn’t want to admit it.

          Serena looked at me and picked up on what I was thinking instantly because she stormed out. I wasn’t going after her. With Serena the more you caudle her, the more she pushes away.

          Once Serena left I couldn’t help but have tears in my eyes. I love her more than anything but I couldn’t help her. I hated seeing her in distress but what more could I do?

          “It’s okay. She’ll be okay,” Xavier says as he steps closer and wipes a tear away from my cheek.

          “I know. Did you mean what you said to her?”       

          “Every single word. I will not let you go without a fight Ava,” he says and brings me into a warm, passionate kiss.
