After about an hour a member of the pack comes out to check on me. I look at him and say, “Where’s Nash?”
“It doesn’t concern you anymore.” He replies.
“Tell me where the fuck he is!”
“No can do, but for having that type of language towards me I have no choice but to punish you.”
I get angry and scream, “Bring it on!”
“Shut your filthy little mouth.” He replies taking out a silver knife cutting my wrists.
I scream in pain as I feel the silver burning into my skin. He moves the knife up my arm slicing my forearm open. I could feel the blood dripping down my skin, making me nauseated. I notice my legs are free and kick him right in the nuts.
“Oh damn!” He screams holding his crotch. He regains his balance and punches me right in the face knocking me out.
Dream
I woke from a sleepless night realizing I turn four today. I jump out of bed and go to my parents’ room. I jump on their bed and yell, “Wake up!”
“Go back to bed sweetie.” My mom says softly.
“No, you get up now mommy!” I shout.
“Ok I’ll be right downstairs.” She says.
I walk downstairs and my mom and dad come down with a huge present. I open it and it’s a HUSKY!
“Mommy, daddy, I love it! I’ll name him rascal!”
They smile at each other and me and it starts to fade when voices not belonging to my memory come into focus.

Josh’s P.O.V.
Her scent gets stronger as we continue walking forward. All I want is Serena back in my arms and I intend to do anything to get that. I refuse to lose anyone else I love. As I keep walking all the memories we shared together entered my head. Longing took over and my wolf howled inside me in need for his mate also.
“You look like a lovesick puppy dog,” Xavier says beside me.
I look over at him and see him holding hands with Ava. Ugh, I wish I had Serena by my side. “Imagine if Ava was taken away from you Xavier. How would you feel?”
“I will rip anyone’s head off if they get in my way. And I would be a dick like you at this point,” Xavier responds.
“You’re a dick all the time,” I point out.
“Correction Josh, I’m not a dick to my mate.”
He is so annoying! “I would shut up if I were you because I have a strong feeling to punch you in the face,” I warn him.
