Serena was currently in labor when I started to feel like I was going to vomit. I got up from the chair I was sitting on in the waiting room and ran to the bathroom. I heard Xavier get up and run after me. I burst through the door and thankfully no one was there. I bent over a toilet and threw up. Xavier came in also and locked the bathroom door.

          “Are you alright?” he asked, rubbing my back.

          I nodded, “Probably something I ate.”

          Later that night, while Xavier was cooking dinner for us; I snuck out of the house to the local convenience store. Serena had a beautiful baby girl whose name is Lexi. Jake told us to head home since Serena will probably be sleeping the next couple of hours. I bought a pregnancy test before arriving back home. Xavier was getting the table set when I entered.

          “Where did you go?” his voice traveled from the kitchen.

          “I went for something,” I blurted out. Nice, now he’s going to ask questions.

          “What?”

          “Something,” I answered vaguely before I ran to the nearest bathroom. He’s going to know something is up, I thought as I opened the pregnancy test with shaky hands.

          A knock come at the door, “Babe, dinner’s ready. Are you okay?”

          “Yup,” I replied. “Be out in a minute.”

          Xavier walked away. I took the test before hiding it in a drawer. I walked out and went to the table. Xavier had a candle light dinner ready and was smiling when he saw me approaching. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead.

          “You did all this?” I asked in disbelief.

          Xavier chuckled before walking me to my seat. He pulled out the chair and pushed it in when I sat down. He’s such a gentleman, I thought. He filled up my plate before handing it to me. My mouth was savoring every bite because it tasted so good! We devoured our meals before cleaning up my kitchen. Xavier washed the dishes while I dried them. Xavier thought he was funny in the sense that he decided to spray me with water. And that’s how our water started. By the end we were soaking wet.

          “I’m going to get cleaned up. Meet me in the bedroom in a minute,” Xavier said as he kissed my neck.

          I smiled, “Alright, but are you going to give me a change of clothes?”

          Xavier pulled me upstairs before making me wait outside the room. He threw some clothes at me which just his shirt—nothing else. I rolled my eyes but took it anyway. I walked back to the bathroom I hid my pregnancy test in and opened the drawer. I swallowed hard.

          I’m pregnant.

          I was excited yet nervous at the same time. I opened the bedroom door and was shell-shocked. Xavier was kneeling on one knee and holding up a diamond ring. Candles and rose pedals swarmed around him. I’m not usually into the romantic stuff, but I couldn’t get over the fact about how hot Xavier is looking right now.

          His long speech was sweet but I kind of went in and out. Looking at Xavier and the ring, my listening skills weren’t at their highest. “Ava, will you marry me?”

          I smiled before jumping into his arms once Xavier stood up. “Yes! But there’s something I need to tell you.”

          Xavier held me tight against his chest. “What is it?”

          I smiled, “I’m pregnant.”

          “Really?” he asked, smiling. “We’re pregnant!”

          I nodded. Xavier kissed my lips before putting the ring on my finger. It wasn’t anything flashy, just a simple diamond which I prefer. Once the ring was on my finger Xavier tossed me on the bed. He climbed on top of me before crashing his lips to mine.
