“Josh!” I say quietly. We were camped right outside the place where Serena is being held. But we are far enough away so they can’t catch our scents. I was walking through the woods to try and find Josh. When I was trying to fall asleep I saw him sneak away from camp. So here I was, trying to follow his scent. I held a flashlight in my hand but the ray of light does little to no help. I’m freezing and all I want to do right now is just go back. But being the good friend that I am I can’t let Josh get into any trouble or get hurt.

          The night was looming and slightly scary. There were no stars in the sky and a full moon appeared above me. I knew if I didn’t get to Josh soon the werewolves who are holding Serena hostage will transform and run the night. Even though werewolves don’t need a full moon to transform, we are more powerful during a full moon. That’s why Xavier wanted to wait to attack I think because we have no idea who we are up against.

          “Josh,” I whisper once again. I knew by the lessening of trees that I was getting close to the mansion. As I kept going my fear started to take over. Maybe I should let my wolf take over because I’m more threatening when I’m in wolf form.

          Suddenly there was a large amount of ruckus coming from somewhere ahead of me. As I started running to the tree line before the mansion I saw Josh beginning tackled by two very large, very muscular men. Should I risk my cover and help him? Ugh, who am I kidding? Josh would do it if the roles were reversed.

          “Get off me you son of a bitch!” Josh yelled and tried to fight back.

          I heard Serena yelling something but I couldn’t make out the words. Quickly I transformed into wolf form and ran to Josh’s aid. Lunging at the first man I easily got him to his feet. He put up a fight but he stood no stance with me in wolf form. Out of nowhere I was blindsided by the second man. I fell to my side but quickly recovered. When I rose from the ground I was met by two very large werewolves. Thankfully Josh had also transformed and took one out while I went for the second one.

          He easily had me on my back and lunging for my neck. Before, when Dom did this he wanted to mark me, now all this man wants to do is kill me. I moved my side out of the way and he missed. I couldn’t go at this forever because I know I’ll be the one died. He was too big for me to support and I couldn’t get him off me.

          Thankfully Josh had come to my rescue and got the wolf off me. Right when I was about to help Josh five more wolves appeared. Okay, I was should run. But I can’t leave Josh here. It’s not save.

          Josh, we have to get out of here. Lets go now! I say through our mind link. 

          His wolf’s head looks up and makes eye contact with mine, I can’t. Serena is down there. I have to get to her.

          You’re no good to her dead Josh! I reply.

          As Josh came to follow me a few darts came out of nowhere and struck him right in the neck. First he kept going but then came two more. Josh wobbled and collapsed. I was about to go help him when he said through our mind link, Ava go. Tell Xavier what has happened. I don’t want you to get hurt. I’ll be fine, go—now!
