Your lie in May

ch. 1 pt. 8

Authors note: hey guys so I haven't made a part of this story in a while now, because no one was viewing it but I decided to make another part and if it gets no views or whatever then whatever ill just make more :P

Kousei:

     "So how has piano been for you?" Emi asked me. Piano had been pretty good, I was practicing a lot of it recently, but I had been distracted by Tsubaki a lot recently, I had been dragging off a little.
     "Good, you?" I asked her.
     "Good." she said. She seemed so awkward, as if she didn't know what to do or say. "How about you play a song for me?" she said. I was working on a specific song I really liked but I hadn't quite perfected it. I pulled out the music and set it on the piano.
     "Okay." I said. She quickly scanned the music. I could tell she was trying to figure it out. I laid my hands across the keys. She stared at my hands, waiting for them to move. Finally, I started. My hands glided over the keys, moving from one place to another, as if they were being chased. They did their own thing and I found myself closing my eyes while playing. The music flowed through me and I felt myself falling deeper into the music and into the mood. I played gracefully and forcefully until I felt my hands stop. I felt hands over mine. They were warm and fragile. I opened my eyes, and Emi's hands were touching mine. Stunned, I sat there like a potato with my mouth wide open. She removed my hands from the piano, and started playing the same song. She played it with force and gentleness at the same time, but there was something about the way she played that amused me. My eyes widened and I found myself falling deep into the music and my heart beat faster and faster as the musical notes flowed through me. Emi had learned a thing or two. She finished off the song amazingly. And I opened my eyes.
     "Wow.." I said. She just smirked. My eyes were still wide open as she walked out of the room.
     Hashiwagi walked into the room after her.
     "Since when were you and Tsubaki a THING?" she said. My face got red really quick.
     "HIM AND TSUBAKI ARE DATING?!?" Emi said rushing back in. "I mean um... Cool! So happy for you guys." she said. Hashiwagi pushed her out of the way.
     "Answer my question numbnuts." she said. I never thought of it. Tsubaki and I had kissed, but we definitely weren't dating.
     "We aren't dating." I said. Emi smiled and smirked towards Tsubaki who was standing behind Hashiwagi, but had quickly run away crying after hearing what I said. I immediately regretted what I said. "Tsubaki wait!" I shouted, but she was gone.

Tsubaki:

     "He kissed me. And now he's telling me that nothing happened. That we aren't a thing." I thought. I could only blame myself for making it so awkward. It was obvious he just felt bad for me and pretended to like me just to take advantage of me. I was sitting under the bleachers in the front of the school. I saw Kousei out of the corner of my eye. He was looking for me. When he saw me he finally ran towards me.
     "Tsubaki!" he shouted as he ran under the bleachers. He sat next to me but I turned to my side so he couldn't see my face.
     "Kousei just go with your girlfriend." I said. I could tell he was surprised.
     "Girlfriend? Emi is not my girlfriend." he said.
     "And Apperantly I'm not either." I said.
     There was silence for a few seconds and as I thought he had left, I turned around, only to see him still there. I was embarrassed and immediately turned back, but he stopped me. He held my arm. I didn't know what to do, I didn't want to hit him.
     "Look I don't know what we are okay? But all I know is I like you Tsubaki." he said. My eyes widened. I turned around and looked him in the face.
     "I like you too Kousei." i said. He grabbed my waist and pulled me into a bear hug. His arms around me comforted me, and threw away all my doubt of him. We hugged for a long time. We just stood there, and never let go, and I didn't want to.
