Kousei:
I didn't know how much Tsubaki would hate me. I thought maybe she would forgive me over time, but time went by, and not a single word was heard from her direction. It had been a week. I would watch her walk to school, happy as could be, never even looking in my direction or acknowledging my existence. It torn me apart, everyday, losing my girlfriend, or what I thought was my girlfriend. Losing her trust for some stupid other girl.
Tsubaki:
It had been a week since I talked to Kousei. I was quite proud of myself, actually, that it wasn't that hard to live without him, and yet it was. Everyday I would walk out and act so happy but the second I walked home that night I would bawl my eyes out for hours on end. I never thought the one person that could make you happy, would be the one person to tear you apart and make your life miserable and not even know it. It was Monday since I last talked to Kousei, and now it's the following Monday. I didn't want to walk out of my house that morning, though I knew I had an important test in forensics. I slowly opened my door, as if I was expecting a murderer or something, but no one was there. I was expecting Kousei to come up to me and apologize, something that would tell me he still cared, but nothing, had he truly moved on? I walked to school that morning, thinking about that question over and over.
Kousei:
I saw Tsubaki that morning, but she seemed different, she seemed upset, or like she was stuck on something, something was on her mind. I decided today was going to be the day, the day I would confront her and tell her the kiss meant nothing, even though it might have. I saw Tsubaki talking with Kashiwagi and Watari. She seemed happy, her smile was as bright as the moon on a winter night. I walked up to her, not even knowing what I was going to say.
"Tsubaki- can we talk?" I asked. Tsubaki stopped talking to her friends, and her beautiful smile quickly turned to a straight face.
"No, go away Kousei." She replied.
"Tsubaki, please I just need to-"
"NO! YOU DON'T GET TO JUST TALK TO ME." She yelled at the top of her lungs. Everyone in the field turned their heads in our direction. Tsubaki was causing attention. Everyone started to come closer, as if they sensed a great dramatic fight, and started to take out their cameras.
"Tsubaki I just want to-"
"GO AWAY KOUSEI I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU EVER AGAIN." She said.
"Tsubaki- I - I love you-" I said. Her eyes widened, as she looked at me, she just stared, trying to figure out what to say next. I could almost HEAR everyone's excitement. Tsubaki looked at me in the eyes, and did something I would never expect she'd ever do. Tsubaki slapped me across the face, leaving everyone with an awe.
"No Kousei, you love Emi." She said, walking away.
I stroked my cheek, it was hot and red, and left a mark. It was at that moment when I knew I was fucked up, and that no matter what I would do, I was not going to get Tsubaki back.
