Chapter 14

Kousei:
I wished that I never met Emi, at least I wouldn't be in this situation, but I had to blame myself for most of it. It was my fault for kissing Emi...

Tsubaki:
I was angry with Kousei at that point, and all of the sadness had melted away like ice on a hot day. I decided it was time to move on, away from Kousei. I walked up to Watari.
     "Hey Watari!" I said, cheerfully, I tried to look pretty and cute and everything a guy would see in a girl. He just looked at me like I was a girl in a boys' bathroom.
     "What the fuck is wrong with you today, did you take too many happy pills?" He said. I immediately heated up like a pancake on a frying pan.
     "Oh screw you, Watari!" I said, slapping him on the face.
     "What was that for?" He said in astonishment, rubbing his chin.
     "I'm gonna kill you!" I yelled, trying to tackle him, but only being held back by a 'seriously done with my crap' Kashiwagi.
     "Chill, you look like a little girl tackling a boy becuase he stole her lollipop." She said.
     "Oh- I see what happened..." Watari said, gasping, then whispering into Kashiwagi's ear. For the first time in a long time, Kashiwagi started laughing.
     "What ..?" I asked. My face got as red as a tomato. They just continued laughing. "What the hell is wrong?" I asked, a little pissed off.
     "It looks like maybe- Tsubaki got her period?" Watari said. Kashiwagi started laughing more.
"NO. I DID NOT." I yelled. They started laughing again. "Wow, what great friends I have." I said, sarcastically.
"Hey... something makes me think- are you guys in a... relationship?" I asked. They both immediately stopped laughing.
"W-wwHAT? NO OF COURSE NOT..." Watari said. Kashiwagi jabbed him in the ribs.
"We are NOT dating, he's... ew." She said.
"B- but I thought you liked me.. I thought we were boyfriend and girlfriend..." Watari said, pouting.
"AHA! SO YOU ARE DATING!" I shouted. Everyone looked in our direction. Voices around the whole school shouted,
"They're dating?!"
"Aw so cute!!"
"KASHIWAGI AND WATARI?!"
     Kashiwagi slapped Watari on the face.
     "Why did you say that now everyone knows!" She screamed. Watari smiled a little.
     "Maybe they'll stop looking if I do this." He said, grabbing her chin lightly and kissing her on the lips. Kashiwagi's eyes were wide with excitement and awe, as were all the people staring at it. I smiled, it was good that Watari and Kashiwagi had found someone to love.
     "Pretty weird right? Couples-" someone said. I turned around to see a guy. He had black hair and eyes so black you could see midnight. He was thin and tall, like Kousei, and had a buttoned white shirt under a light blue vest and black jeans. I had no idea what his name was but I had seen him around school, he was pretty popular but not that popular that he wouldn't talk to someone who was a nobody.
     "Do I know you?" I asked.
     "Probably not- but then again, who does anyways?" He replied with a smile. "I'm Reo." He said.
     "I'm Tsubaki." I said. He put out his hand in a welcoming gesture, and I shook it.
     "Hey- do you know where I could find the music room? I just switched into the class, but I can't seem to find out where it is." He said.
     "Yeah, sure, um- follow me." I said, walking away from the crowd, and in the direction of the music room.
     As we walked, it was really awkward, so I broke the silence.
     "So what led you to join music?" I asked.
     "I don't know, it always kind of just amused me." He replied.
     "Well what are you going to be playing?" I asked.
     "I've kind of been playing French horn at home for a few years... but I finally had the courage to come out of my shell and use it in school as well as home." He replied. I stopped for a minute.
     "French horn? Wow- no one really plays French horn at this school.." I said. He laughed a little.
     "That's because no one has ever heard a good French horn player at this school." He replied. I shrugged. We entered the music room.
     "Well- here it is." I said.
     "Yeah-" he said. "Well uh- thanks for helping me get here, I appreciate it, and I owe you one."
     "Yeah.." I said, smiling. I began to exit the room.
     "Hey uh- Tsubaki?" He called after me. I turned around.
     "Yeah?" I answered.
     "I uh- well- do you wanna maybe hangout?" He asked. I looked at him, deep in his soul, was this kid an f boy? I scoffed.
     "I just met you- and you want to hangout?" I said.
     "Yeah- well... I don't know, I thought we could just be friends." He said.
     "Is this a joke? Did you get sent here to 'harass' me or make me fall for your trap?" I asked.
     "Nono! Nothing like that- sorry.. I just wanted to be friends." He said. I looked him up and down. I decided to give this guy a chance.
     "Ok. When?" I asked.
     "How about... the sushi grill? Right after school, meet me at the front gate." He said.
     "Mmk. See ya then, Reo." I said, exiting the room.

Heyooo guys, so yes, I am aware I added a character named Reo, and I searched up popular Japanese boy names too just because I didn't want to name him something like Chad😂 I might add another character, such as another French horn player that could be Tsubaki's friend or Reo's or even Kousei's but either way, hope you enjoyed this one!
