So, right now I'm trying to figure out why Bryant felt the need to tell Skigh that she is his soulmate. There's no reason for it. It could put her in danger. If I lose her for some stupid reason I will rip his head off, metaphorically. I'm furious with him and hurt. Who benefits from this? She's not going to understand unless we tell her everything and then she'll want to see. I can prevent Stameions from hurting her, but I have no control over the creatures that reside in Altearis.

Bryant notices that I heard and leaves Skigh to pursue me. I walk faster, if I talk to him now I might explode on him. Skigh's my best friend and she probably thinks he was messing with her. I thought I was walking faster than him until I'm pulled into a dark class.

I put on a smile and act like nothing happened. I look at him, and all the desire comes rushing in. I shut the desire away, hoping he didn't notice the blush that crept up my face as I remembered what we did last night.

"Hey, Bryant. What's up?" I try to act nonchalant.

"I know you heard, Tes. Don't try to act okay when you're not," Bryant says to me.

Anger engulfs me. "Okay! Yeah, I heard. I heard you tell Skigh something that she didn't need to know. Then I watched you walk away from her after you told her something totally unbelievable. I don't know how you can do that when I know you can feel her feelings!" I shove him away from me.

"Why did you tell her?" I raise my voice. "What was the point?"

"I'm tired of all the secrets Tes!" Bryant's volume matches mine. "Skigh is not only my soulmate and your best friend, she's my best friend too. I've been fighting with her for years to hold back the feelings I get for her and I'm sick of it!" Bryant paces around the room.

"I get that you don't want to fight with her, but telling her that could put her life in danger. You and I both know she's going to want to know more and I don't blame her. And she's stubborn, so you know she's gonna want to come to Altearis eventually." I sit on a desk and put my head in my hands.

"I know, I just am sick of hiding. It takes a toll on a person when they have to hide everything they are for years and years," Bryant says sadly.

I reach out and grab Bryant's hand. "I'm sorry, I guess I'm just jealous. I couldn't find any other reason that you'd want to tell her other than you wanted to be with her instead." Bryant chuckles softly. Bryant tucks his thumb under my chin, making me look at him.

"Tes, I don't know how many times I'm going to have to say this, but there's no one else I want to be with. I'm pushing my feelings for her away for the same reason your pushing yours away for Ron. What I feel for you is so much stronger, it always has been."

Just like that, the jealousy I had been feeling is gone. I understand why Bryant told her and I'd like for us to not hide anything anymore too. I'm still worried about Skigh trying to get into Altearis, of course we could protect her, but anything can happen. Plus she wouldn't be very welcome there, especially by Scarlett.

Bryant lifts me off the desk and kisses me. Our fire surges. These kisses will never go dull. The kiss gets so intense that we don't even realize someone has walked into the room.

"Ahem," A voice says, causing us to break apart. I don't recognize the person standing in front of us, but it looks like a teacher. I am so embarrassed.
