Grad was long. You would think it would be super fun and entertaining but it was really just the teachers going on and on about how much they will miss us when really we know they are glad to see us go.
We got our diplomas and awards and threw our grad hats up into the air and that was about it.
In no time we were back at the house, getting ready for prom. Ally is helping me with my hair and make up and my dress is sitting on the bed, ready for me to put on.
I cannot believe I'm doing this. Harry is downstairs waiting for me as I sit in my room with Ally.
"Come on Emma! Harry is waiting with Jer!" I looked at her, smiling. Jeremy asked to prom by singing to her in front of the whole school at lunch, the most adorable thing I have ever seen!
"Fine." I grumbled.
"Oh and Emma?"
"Yeah?"
"Deep breaths." I nodded, trying to subdue the anxiety creeping in. This is actually happening. I'm graduating high school, growing up. I nodded and she smiled, taking my hand as she walked down the stairs, Jeremy staring at her like she is Cinderella.
God I wish I had that.
My God she is beautiful. She looks like she just walked out of a magazine. Her hair perfectly curled into ringlets falling to her shoulders around her face. Her dress is jaw dropping, a yellow bringing out the deep brown in her eyes and the pink in her lips. She is breath taking. The dress fits her slim build perfectly, a sweet heart neckline with a silver beaded belt and a slit running up to her mid thigh.
My palms begin to sweat just looking at her.
"Hi." she whispers.
"Hi."
"Ok picture time!" her mother smiles. I know this woman, although she doesn't know me. I know she puts an insane amount of pressure on Emma, I know all she wants is for Emma to have a boyfriend and I know that she doesn't see what she does to Emma.
I smiled, putting my arm around Emma's waist and I already know she is blushing. "Ok, you kids have fun." she winked at me. Wait. Was she implying-? No! She actually thinks that we-? Dear God how does Emma live with this?
She is quiet almost the whole way, sitting in the back seat of Jeremy's car. Ally and Jeremy are smiling and laughing in the front seat, talking about Toy Story.
"You look beautiful!" I whispered to Emma so that only she can hear.
"Thank you." she says just barley over a whisper. I can tell she is nervous. She wasn't planning on going to prom, let alone with an international super star. But that's what I like about Emma, she doesn't think of me just as 'Harry Styles part of the famous One Direction' she knows me as 'Harry, her friend'.
"Are you excited?" she asked.
I smiled, looking out the window as we got closer to her school."
"Of course!" I smiled, "But only because I'm with you." she blushed.
When we got to the school it was nine o'clock. The gym was transformed from gard ceremony to dance floor. The theme was Old New York. Black and white pictures everywhere and an ice sculpture of the Empire State Building sat in the corner, it was actually pretty cool!
Emma starred at in in awe. "This is so cool!" she gasped, taking it all in.
I laughed, taking her hand so we can go follow Ally and Jeremy to a table.
