Mare POV:
When I wake up I immediately feel drained. Then I notice the silent stone all around me. I don't even have the energy to grunt out a defeated oh. I try to remember what happened but my mind is blank. Also I have a million questions
Where is Cal, Who took me, Why, Where am I, how was I taken here? Then a face pops up and I immediately discard it because its impossible. But I swear I saw Mavens face behind Cal.
But if I am going to die I cant believe my last words to Cal were full of regret. Over killing the very man who is outside my cell.
I hear the door start to open. Too weak to deal with anyone I pretend to be asleep and try to listen closely. I tell myself I am trying to figure out who it is but in the end I am just listening for Cal's name.
"How is she still asleep, I thought it wore off in an hours time." The voice I would know anywhere. He's back, Mavens back.
"The doctors have no explanations sire." An unworthy guard walks out of the room. Leaving me and Maven, together, alone.
"Oh dear mare, if I find out you're faking you're going to wish for death." He said as he stalked out of the room.
