"If there's even a slight chance of getting something that will make you happy, risk it life's too short, and happiness is too rare," - A.R. Lucas
My heart was pounding in my chest. My legs burned from all the running. And fear was running through my body. The adrenaline in my veins kept me going. If I stopped they would catch me. And if they catched me God knows what they would do to me. The members of the Black spades were chasing after me. Their voices shouted over each other, shouting at me to stop, but I didn't want to, I was afraid. I was afraid of the people who I thought I could trust. I was afraid of the people who were my friends.
Not everything is as it seems. Wyatts words seemed to ring through my mind. I should have taken it as a warning.
Should of, could of, would of, but you didn't the voice mocked. I didn't have time to argue because my life was at risk.
I took a sharp turn to my right only to hit a dead end. Dread filled my body the moment I heard their footsteps get closer. My lips trembled as their heavy steps now had become almost silent and light. My body tensed. Images of what they could do to me flashed before my eyes
"Olivia, please listen to us," he asked as he took a step closer.
I shook my head and took a step back. It was futile, but the small gap between us gave me an ounce of safety. His tired and worried eyes pleaded for me to listen. To hear what every they had came up with.
How did I get here you ask? Well let me tell you.
-two hours ago-
I sat in the living room with the boys. The twins like always playing around. Damon watched the T.V. with a bored expression, and Wyatt looked down at his phone an angry expression on his face.
My curiosity was eating me alive. What was so important about that room anyways? I sighed and fell back on the couch. I looked around the room bored out of my mind. A game they had on a shelf caught my attention, and brought an idea along.
I stood up and picked it up.
"Want to play twister?" I asked with a small smile
Jax and Liam stood up quickly. A child like expression was painted on both their faces.
"Yes," they both said in unison
I nodded, "want to play Damon? Wyatt?" I asked
Wyatt shook his head, "no, I'm good," he said before returning his gaze to his phone.
"Damon?" I asked.
"I don't know," he answered as he sat back and rubbed his chin.
"Come on it will be fun," Jax said grinning
Damon arched a brow at us. I smiled and nodded at him hoping he would say yes. He stood up with a sigh and walked towards us.
The twins set up the game.
"Wyatt can you spin for us?" I asked.
"Yeah sure," he said as he moved to the seat closer.
"Olivia right foot green," he said. I followed the order.
"Jax left hand red,"
"Liam right hand yellow,"
"Damon right foot blue,"
The game went on for a while. We were in a tangled mess, and I took it as my chance. To reach into their pockets without them noticing. After all our body's kept touching, so they wouldn't give much thought to it. Gently I reached into their pockets. I found nothing inside Jax's pocket and I couldn't check Liam's other pocket without Wyatt noticing, so I silently prayed that Damon had the key. And like if my prayers had been heard my fingers wrapped around the cold metal object. Quickly I placed it inside my pocket. I stood up causing the boys to fall down.
