"All it takes is a beautiful fake smile to hide an injured soul and they will never notice how broken you really are," - unknown
"Where are we going?" I asked the twins as they led me up a couple of stairs I have not seen before. Well technically I haven't seen much of this house besides the living room, bathroom, kitchen and the basement, so any room or flight of stairs would be new to me. I'll have to go exploring sometime if they permit me of course. I have learned my lesson now.
Liam stopped and turned to look at me, "We're going where we usually go to have some peace and quiet," Liam answered
Jax opened a door at the top of the stairs. I realised now they had led me to the attic.
"This is where you guys come for some quiet time?" I asked as I looked around the almost empty place aside from some boxes on the far right corner.
Liam shook his head and opened the window of the attic. He cautiously stepped through the window.
"Come on Olivia," Jax said as he followed his brothers action.
I shook my head, "what if I fall?" I asked worried.I looked out the window and stepped back quickly. It was way too high for me to trust that I would be safe.
"Then I'll catch you," he said grinning. He waved me over to him
"You won't have time to react that quickly," I pointed out. It was logical after all.
"Olivia you'll be fine. Now come," he reached his hand out for me to take.
"Is it safe?" I asked hesitantly
He nodded, "we have done this about a million times. Trust me it's safe," he answered
Yeah you guys have but I have not the voice shot back. I agreed with it after all it was right. I took a deep breath and stepped out. I gasped once I looked down. I know bad idea to look down, but it's the first thing you do when you're high up. Or is that just a me thing?
Jax took my hand in his and began to lead me to where his brother was.
"Woah! Oh, I'm slipping," he said as he pretended to fall. A scream left my lips as I stumbled forward.
Jax began to laugh as my cheeks turned a bright red.
"You should have seen your face," he said as he held his side while he laughed his butt off.
"That's not funny," I hissed as I playfully punched him on the arm.
He laughed and rubbed his arm, "it was funny for me," he said laughing
I sent a glare his way as we made it to the flat side of the roof where a small balcony had been built. A few chairs had been placed there along with a big umbrella to shield us from the heavy sun above us. It was pretty and made me forget about how far up we really were.
"Sit," Liam ordered as he took a seat of his own.
I sat across from them. I rested my hands on my lap and leaned forward waiting for them to explain why they had been so glum.
"We haven't really told anyone about this aside from Wyatt and Damon, so we apologise if it doesn't make much sense, or we mess up on some parts. We try to avoid this as much as we can but you're our friend and we want you to know," Liam said with a small smile. I returned his smile with a smile of my own.
"It's okay take all the time that you want," I said encouraging.
"Where should I start?" Liam asked rubbing the back of his head
