The weekend had passed faster than I had wanted too, and to top it of I couldn't sleep. I kept having the same nightmare. The only difference is that it now starred Zachary as if seeing him on a daily bases wasn't been enough. Lazily I got out of bed and made my zombie walk to my bathroom. I changed as quickly as I could manage in my half asleep state.
I grumbled a goodbye to my parents and headed out to meet the guys.
"You look like hell," Jax commented as he took in my disheveled state.
"Thanks I just got back from it," I responded sarcastically
"Are you okay Olivia?" Liam asked as I sat next to him.
"I'm just really really tired," I answered as I tried to keep my eyes open.
"Nightmares?" he asked
I nodded in response.
"Don't worry I've been there too. It takes time to get use to them," he said
His words caught my attention, "to get use to them? They'll be more? They don't go away?" I asked confused
He shrugged, "to some they go away like Jax. He forgets them or he doesn't get them. Damon doesn't sleep at night much because of them," he nodded his head towards Damon. It amazed me to know that. Damon always seems like he has plenty of energy. I would assume he would be tired as hell if he didn't get a blink of an eye of sleep every night. I would be exhausted if it were me. Heck I am tired now and they have barely began.
"What about Wyatt?" I asked
"He had a different way of dealing with the nightmares, but mostly he doesn't get them, or at least I think he doesn't. I've never seen him stressed out over a nightmare. Or ever heard him mention them. He's just closed of like that," he replied
I nodded, "what are your nightmares about?" I asked
"About things I've seen...things that I have done...things that I wish to change but can't," he stopped talking and turned to look out the window. He was lost in thought. He seemed almost pained just by thinking about it. I took his hand in mine and gave it a gentle squeeze.
He turned and gave me a sad smile, it didn't reach his eyes. It seemed to have aged him more than it should. He looks older and tired, and saddly sadder than he should. Guess there is more to the gang life than what I thought. I always assured that they were all okay with what they were doing but this puts everything in a different perspective.
"Are you okay?" I asked, placing my hand on his shoulder.
He nodded, "yeah, I just tend to zone out sometimes when I think about stuff," he answered
I gave him a small smile and nodded. By now Wyatt had parked the car, and they were getting out of the car.
I caught sight of Zachary from across the parking lot. He mouthed 'remember' to me. I turned away and looked at the paved floor.
"Don't be scared of him. He's just a stupid asshole. I bet you he didn't even kill the guy. He's probably taking the credit so you'll be scared of him," Liam whispered as he nudged me forward. Damin must have told them. And guys say girls gossip too much.
I smiled up at him, but I did believe Zachary had killed Daniel. He had sounded so serious when he confused that it seemed hard to believe he hadn't, so I stuck with the believe that he had.
"Come on Olivia lets head to class," Jax said as he walked up to me and looped and arm around my own.
I smiled up at him and nodded.
