The music was loud, the people were grinding, and the lights were blinding. In other words I hated this place from the moment I walked in. Why do people like places like these?
"Having fun?" Jax yelled over the loud music.
I shook my head, "how much longer do we have to stay here?" I asked.
Jax looked over his shoulder towards the door that Wyatt and Damon had gone into.
"Give them about fifteen more minutes," he yelled over the deafening music.
I sighed and took a gulp of my water. Believe it or not they actually had water besides just alcohol and peanuts.
"Come on Olivia make some friends around here. You never know people might surprise you!"
I cringed at the thought of having to socialise with complete strangers. I looked around and didn't like what I saw. On one side was a group of girls who would never talk to a simple nerd like me and to my other side a mixture of both drunk and sober men. Who I'm sure are only here to drink their worries away and to find a good lay.
"Stop looking at them like they're sick and could drop dead at any moment!" Jax yelled as he playfully punched my arm.
"Please tell them to hurry!" I yelled. There was nothing more that I wanted to do then just go home, bury myself under my blankets with the company of a good book.
I sighed in content at the mere thought of being in my quiet home rather than be in this loud and obnoxious place.
Jax sighed and nodded, "I'll be right back," he yelled as he turned to leave.
I turned back to my glass of water. Sad how the beads of water rolling down the side is my entertainment.
"Hi," someone said from my side.
I kept my eyes trained on the glass. He couldn't be talking to me.
"Excuse me?" he asked.
I turned and looked at him. He was cute in a boy next door kind of way. Making me sure he wasn't talking to me.
"Not much of a talker, eh?" he asked.
My brows knitted together as I turned to look at him once more, "are you talking to me?" I asked confused
He smiled, "of course who else would I be talking to?" he said with a chuckle
I shrugged, "I assumed you were talking to one of the girls next to me," I answered truthfully
"Well you assumed wrong," he said with a chuckle.
"I'm Daniel. What's your name?" he asked as he extended his hand to me.
I took his large hand in my small one and shook it, "Olivia," I replied with a smile.
"It's nice to meet you Olivia," he said with a grin.
I learned a few things from him. I learned that he was a sophomore in college. He had two older brothers and his favorite color was navy blue.
I shared a few things of myself. Of course keeping away from anything school related.
I would occasionally turn to see if the boys were coming, yet the door remained closed.
Daniel had just finished telling a funny story when I heard the loud voices of the twins arguing with Damon. I turned as they came out the door. Everything happened so quickly that I didn't have time to react. Daniel pushed me down from the stool as the gunshots broke out.
"Olivia!" someone yelled from a distance but all I could think about is how fast my heart was racing.
I covered my head as more gunshots arose. People screamed all around me. Their heavy footsteps rang through the club as they tried to run away before it got worse. Some tripped over me while others stomped on my back and legs as they tried to make a quick escape.
