My Paradise

Chapter 1

Skylar's POV
I had just finished packing the last of my things. I was moving out to LA to become and actress/director. My dad was a producer for Universal Studios and one of his friends had hooked me up with an audition. I had been studying day and night. I felt a surge of emotions. I was excited to go experience my dream but I was gonna miss my family. My mom and dad had been pushing to achieve what I wanted in life. They're the reason I'm able to go to LA. Not to mention my three brothers. Sure the were a pain in my... but  I still love them. I asked my dad to drive with me. I lived in Sonoma County which was only 6 hours from LA so it wouldn't be that bad of a trip. Plus I wanted to spend my last few hours with my dad. Me and my dad had a special bond. He understood me better I understood myself. He would always comfort me when I had issues and trust me I had a lot of issues. Anyway he agreed to drive me to my new place. I walked inside to say goodbye to my mom
"Make sure you brush your teeth everyday" she said trying her best not to break into tears
"I love you too Mom" I said
"Sky. While your gone can we have your tv?" Rashaad (the second oldest brother) asked me.
I looked at him in disappointment.
"So instead of saying goodbye you asked for my tv?!" I say hoping for a change of heart. He looked almost confused.
"Yes. Isn't that what I just said? Is that a No?" He asked.
"NO RASHAAD!!! YOU CANNOT!!!" "Well jeez. A simple no would have been enough" he says and storms off. I shake my head in disappointed. I gave my mom one last hug and headed to my Range Rover. I tired to get one last look at my home. I would miss everything about this place. Except school. Screw that school. Me and my dad got in and drove off. That drive would lead to the biggest change in my life.
