Chapter 12

Skylar's POV
Today was a free day. I didn't have to go in for filming but Marcus did. I decide to go visit my parents in Sonoma County. I told Damien because he is the only one who could keep a secret. I wore a pink tank top with a cream strapless crop top and some blue jean shorts (outfit above). I grabbed my sunglasses and a banana and left. The drive only took 4 hours this time because there was no traffic. I was happy that I had time to go see my family. LA is great I mean I have Marcus and I'm in a big time movie but sometimes I get a little home sick. I pulled up into my old driveway. I knocked on the door and saw Damien. "Who's at the door?" I heard my mom ask. I quietly tipped toed behind her and said "YOUR DAUGHTER!" She jumped and turned to hug me. She started crying. Like I said my mom is emotional. My dad came downstairs a gave me the biggest bear hug in the history of bear hugs. "Where's Rashaad?" I asked expecting my brother to come down any minute. "We were just about to call you. Rashaad is in the hospital." "What? Why?" I asked. My dad told me that Rashaad was walking home from work late one night and bunch of the bullies from his school jumped him. "He would've died had Damien not been at the gas station across the street." My mom added. We all headed to the hospital. Then I saw him. His face was all bruised but he was still recognizable. "Hey bro. How are you doing?" I asked trying to hold back my tears. "I could be better. I wish you wouldn't have seen me like this. It's embarrassing." He said trying to laugh. I reached for his hand but he flinched in pain. Tears started to run down my face. "Hey. It's gonna be okay Sky. I'm gonna make a speedy recovery and I'll be walking out here all healthy." I don't know about that." The doctor said interrupting. "What do you mean?" I asked worried. "You might be in here for awhile. Those boys did a number. Your lucky they didn't kill you." The doctor answered. I sat with him until he fell asleep. My parents and brother had drove home to change. I had to head back to LA. " I will come everyday I can." I told my dad. "Don't stress yourself. Knowing Rashaad he'll be outta here soon. Be safe. I love you" he said. I kissed his cheek and headed to my car. I then got a text.
Marcus💋-Where have you been?
Sky🌅- I visited my family since I had the day off. My brother is in the hospital.
Marcus💋- OMG! I'm sorry. I wish I could be there for you.
Sky🌅- I'm headed home now. Maybe you can come by.
Marcus💋- nothing would make happier. I love you. See you in a bit.
Sky🌅- okay. Love you too.💋
I am glad Marcus accepts my crazy life. I know it can't be easy dealing with my problems.
Marcus's POV
Today I had filming but Sky didn't so I didn't see her all day. I miss her a lot. As I headed to set I saw a familiar face. It was Sebastian. He was my best friend until he decided to beat up my brother. I kicked his ass when I finally found out. He left Lucas scarred even though he acts like he doesn't. I didn't want him to see me so I tried to speed walk but he had already seen me. He walked over. "Sup bro?" He said. I looked confused. He does know that we aren't friends. "Hey... how have you been?" I asked not really caring about his answered. He told me how he was in LA for a photo shoot. He apologized for how he acted when we were in high school. "I'm not the one you kicked around like a rag doll." I said practically growling. "But..." before he finished I walked away. If I stayed any longer I would have done something I would regret. Filming was slow today. I told Michael about my run in with Sebastian. He smiled. "I would have done the same thing bro!" He said. I'm glad I had a friend like him. He was always there for me. Marcus are you and Michael in a bromance? I thought to myself. After filming I decided to text Sky. I hadn't heard from her all day. I hope she was okay.
Marcus💋-Where have you been?
Sky🌅- I visited my family since I had the day off. My brother is in the hospital.
Marcus💋- OMG! I'm sorry. I wish I could be there for you.
Sky🌅- I'm headed home now. Maybe you can come by.

I felt bad for Sky. Rashaad and Skylar were very close from what could tell. I decided to get some ice cream for when I went to go talk to Sky. Went I got to her house she was already back. I knocked on her door. When she finally answered her eyes were puffy like she had been crying. I walked in and hugged her tight. I could tell she was hurting. I went to her kitchen and fixed her and triple scoop ice cream cone. She smiled at the sight of my masterpiece. "There's that beautiful smile." I said. After finishing her ice cream she laid her head in my lap and fell asleep. She was cute when she was sleeping. I picked her up and took her room. I walked towards door when I heard her speak. "Will stay with me?" I nodded. I climbed in the bed. She cuddle up next to me and laid her head on chest. We both fell asleep. I love sleeping her.
