My Paradise

Chapter 3

The judges seem very nice.
"What's your name?" They asked. I answered along with some other questions. They told me to read from one of the more dramatic scenes in the script. I chose my favorite one. I acted it out. I hadn't realized that I had shed a tear (the scene was really emotional). The judges all got up a clapped. I smiled and bowed. They said the usually "if we're interested we'll give you a call" but the one judge winked at me. I knew I had a good chance of landing the role. I went home. In my way I ran into this guy. He had curly hair and hazel green eyes. I almost got lost in them. I quickly came out of it and apologized for bumping into him. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." I said nervously. I think he could tell because he was smiling.
"No problem. I wasn't looking either. Studying for an audition." He replied.
"Cool. Well good luck and sorry again" I quickly ran off embarrassed. My first day in the city and I already make a clumsy move with a really cute guys. Crap. I finally got home and was about to call Z but he had already called me. "Hey Z. What's up." I asked. "Oh nothing . Just that YOU GOT THE ROLE!!!" He said screaming. I literally dropped to the floor. I couldn't believe it. I knew I did good but I never would have thought that I would get the part. I was so excited. Z brings me back to earth. "I hope your happy. Don't forget the chemistry read on Thursday. I'm really happy for you Sky." He said. I manage to say thank you. He hung up. I sat there trying to process what happened. I really did it. Then I thought of Luna.
"I made Luna. I hope your proud" I teared up. I had a free day before I had the chemistry read.
*skip to Thursday*
I headed to the chemistry read. It was closer so I didn't have to get up super early *thank you Jesus* . I walked in and checked in with the secretary lady. She wasn't very polite. I sat down a waited for my turn when I saw the guy from yesterday. It looked he was checking as well. I tried to open a magazine and hide behind it so he couldn't see me but I wasn't very stealthy about it. He walked over and sat next me but we didn't speak. He finally broke the silence. "I know we technically met yesterday but I want to properly introduce myself. My name is Marcus." I smiled and looked away. "Skylar. But you can call me Sky if you want." I said blushing hella hard. I wanted to ask what he was doing here but I didn't want to pry. But he read my mind. "So what are you doing here?" He asked. I told him about the chemistry read for the movie and he began to laugh. I didn't say anything funny did I. "Umm..." I said kind of confused. Realizing how confused I was he said "Oh I'm sorry. It's cool because I here for that same reason." "So the script you were reading yesterday was for..." "Yep" he cut me off as if he knew what I was about to ask. We had talk for so long I felt like forever. I finally got called but the weird thing was so did he. Oh...my...god. Please tell he isn't auditioning for the male lead. "Marcus Dobre and Skyler Miller for lead chemistry read" the intercom said. Great.
